Hes done some good stuff but when you go look at his Wiki it looks like hes only done 15 or so episodes plus the movies and this with the voice. It seems like its a lot more but anything outside the movies, its Conroy V Hamill, its just how its meant to be. You've seen what happens when you don't use Hamill. You get Dreadlock Joker.
I only let her live because I had already set up to fuck her before I knew I hated her. Choosing Kaiden to die was a dumb decision on my side.
I let her live because I hated Kaiden even more. Dude kept on trying to hit on me, what a dick.
Anyway, I finished the game last night and loved it. I really enjoyed going back through areas after I'd cleared the enemies and finding a bunch of different ways I could eliminated them. Some of those are designed amazingly well.
I'll probably start a hard save at some point over the next couple of days. I doubt I'll ever get the combat challenge trophies though, I really can't get many points for those things. Speaking of which though, do the Joker challenges count towards those points?
For a sequel,
I think Central Gotham would be a good setting to go with. Incorporate Wayne Tower, GCPD, City Hall, etc into the game and maybe make Two Face the main villain (with Joker making a few cameos). They wouldn't have to make the game area too large, just have the rest cordoned off or something.
Things I think they could improve upon:
- The way encounters are divided into stalker and combat types, I'd like to see them mix them both up
- The stun button seemed fairly pointless (outside of the guys you have to use it on), so I'd get rid of it entirely.
- Introduce a strong attack button, so you can do combos between the two and not just mash square all the time.
- A jump button would be great.
- As would opening the grappling up (let me grapple while gliding and maybe even let me aim it ala Bionic Commando).
I also hope they get rid of the Super Venom crap. Sure, ridiculously large muscles are what UE3 does best but it's a pretty tacky gimmick to set up 'gamey' stuff (like the boss battle with Joker).
Fighting a Titan and like 10 dudes at once (via elevators) - after the water main parts.
I'll beat it, not asking for help or tips. I just keep getting backed up into the elevator and getting myself killed.
Not enough time to lay down explosive gel to help me...
Theres no reason you should be in the elevator its quite easy to do as you've done before and vault over enemies and dodge the titan. All I can suggest is do what you've done before, fight the little guys and always remember to dodge the titan.
See I did it opposite on hard. I just spammed the dodge button and kept leap frogging over the goons and whittled the titan's health down, occasionally riding him to smack said goons around. After the titan went down I started on the goons. Much more satisfying since they all had to be going, "oh shit."
Everything from this fight on has kind of had the combat system grating on me. Just little things like how some strikes seem to cancel to counters earlier than others, how evade is kind of wonky in regards to how differently it functions when it targets an enemy, and how some enemy attacks have mildly random threat radii. I like the way the combat feels on hard, but since shit got real, it's been getting noticeable that it doesn't quite have the polish of a Ninja Gaiden or a DMC.

I don't know, so far I've rarely had anything but a blatant miss actually take me out of a combo. It's true that the threat radii of some enemy strikes are variable, but so are yours.
Also, does Hard come with a new set of combat challenges and leaderboards, or are extreme challenges the hardest things get?
Ugh so I think I may have broken progression accidently and possibly ruined my save
(relatively early game spoilers)
After getting the batclaw, I decided to go back to the ward where you fight Bane/Scarecrow to collect some more Riddler items (I'd remembered seeing an interview recording in the room where Bane was hung up, but the game ends up leading you to the surface after the fight before you can collect it)
I made my way to the elevator, but it was locked, so I figured I was supposed to use the grate on the wall above it. Pulled the grate off with my batclaw, but couldnt grapple up to it, so I reached it by gliding off of a gargoyle and turning hard in mid air. Managed to grab the vent mid-glide, drop down the elevator shaft, and get back to the lower levels. Got the Harley Quinn mask trophy, as well as Bane's bear trophy, but now I'm stuck in this area. Theres a set of double doors thats blocked after Batman tries to open them, and backtracking through some vents leads me to a ledge that I can't grapple to.
Am I fucked? The game saved a checkpoint down here so I can't reload
You're fine.
You have to go back to the elevator shaft and grapple back up.

A few times, I've been bumped out of combo because I attacked when I was clear, an enemy moved to attack immediately after I hit X, and he rolled a strike with a faster animation than the one I rolled. Sometimes I can get a counter in to cancel some of my attack animation. Sometimes hitting counter will slightly suspend the enemy's attack so that everything displays correctly. Sometimes I'm just fucked.

Hahaha, that's amazing. If I were that guy, I'd just keep the game on 24/7. Little crazy me staring and giggling in my living room.
Edit: Also, it's weird how for Rock Band, there were "100%/Gold Starred" videos on youtube for every song when I got the game. For this, there are a few combat challenge videos, most of which don't even get 3 bats.
Argh, these combat challenges are balls-hard. Four rounds is a bit much - it's really annoying to be doing awesomely, then cock something up in Round 4. Love the silent predator ones though, I hope they release another batch as DLC or something.

Reading "3 bats" just makes me wonder if there's special currency in Gotham City called "Bats".
"Heeyyyy man, want these drugs? It'll cost you 20 bats!"

I enjoy the combat challenges, they are hard. But I've bounced back from awful rounds with a 30-something hit combo to launch me up and above the three medal challenge.
They're hard, but what Batman does isn't easy.
They've also made me a bear at combat and when I fight in the actual game (on a hard playthrough now) I switch it up and PUNISH all who raise a fist to me!
I found the combat challenges to be relatively easy to achieve 3 bats. The problem I had was maintaining a combo throughout the round, and trying to avoid getting touched by scumbags so I could get the perfect 5000 bonus.
Where I ran into trouble was with the predator rooms, sometimes I would look at the requirements and go, "Now how the fuck do I even...".

I got Predator Gold the other day... but after I had figured out how to get all the medals, my thoughts went to looking at the leaderboards and wondering "How the fuck can this be done in under 1 minute?". It seems impossible.
There's one room where it takes me just 1 minute to get all of the walls setup with explosives, yet some guy can get the whole room done in 45 seconds? I wish that you could view a replay of players runs from the leaderboard.

Seriously? I can't even get 3 bats in the first challenge, let alone some of the others. I do well up until I get to the knife/stun guys, then they throw me off.
I lvoe the predator ones though. First time through I just take my time and make sure I get all the requirements. Then I look at trying to speed through it.
And since no-one's answered my question from the last page, do the Joker (or DLC) maps contribute to the total? Or do you have to do all the Batman ones for those trophies/achievements?

Just try to target the knife and stun rod wielders with a combat takedown asap. I find that if you just build a large combo by use normal strikes and moving inbetween the furthest mooks to make sure you don't get hit accidentally can really help. I also find that ground pound takedowns give the biggest points, so if you have a large combo going, try to get in a ground 'n pound for a massive boost.
If you try too hard to vary your combos, you'll wind up screwing up. As my dad has always said "Keep it simple, stupid."
I have to say though, my combat prowess has increased drastically through playing these challenges. Can't wait to begin my hard mode playthrough. I've almost finished all the combat challenges.

Ground Pounds are also effective for putting distance between Batman and enemies. As in doing the combat takedown, throwing batarangs toward the opposite side of the arena, then launching into the Ground Pound.
Of course, it's not always convenient given the circumstances, but throwing the 'rangs, leaping into a punch or two, and then doing the Ground Pound on the downed thugs is a bonus.
But combat takedowns are prime for those knife wielding motherfuckers.
Ground Pounds are awesome. They are definitely the biggest point dump outside of the Dark Knight Bonuses and Variation Bonus.
But they are also a two-edged sword. Using the Ground Pound move leaves Batman vulnerable to attack. Unlike the Throw and Combo Takedown moves, which cannot be interrupted, you can get punched in the head while you're using the Ground Pound. I've found that its best to use a Batarang to floor any Goons standing near your Ground Pound target before you execute the move.
also, i find it best to throw the guys with tasers, or throw other guys into them
that way, they drop the taser, and you still have people to bounce combos off of for more points
The tasers guys will also drop them from batarangs and the batclaw. Though with the batclaw, you have to avoid them until they finally fall over. They'll still stun you if they reach you whilst stumbling.

They're just for fun. Joker doesn't earn bats, just points for the leaderboards.
I'd like to see them add more Joker Challenges, but revise his current load-out of items so that the predator challenges can't be cheesed with a simple Shot+Teethbomb and cleared in 10 seconds. That's a bit ridiculous.
In other news: Goddamn I love getting a perfect round. I just hit a x9 Variation with two ground pounds. Broke 10k points in a single round. So satisfying.
Ugh, I really hate the Shock and Awe challenge. It's by far the worst.
yep. I'm stuck on the extreme challenge. I have 0 problem getting 30K score, I'm usually in the mid-high 25K's after 2 rounds, but there's just SO MANY BATONS/KNIFE USERS that I can't get anything going. I spam bat claw/rangs and takedowns as much as possible but it's simply not fast enough.
It's the last challenge I need. I fucking hate timed challenges.
Honestly, in that challenge I just combat takedown'd the knife users and relied on the baton or unarmed folks to build my score up. It didn't hurt that I got something like a good 17k in the first round either, though.
Rumble in the Jungle (Extreme) gave me more difficulty.

Those maps are all about gliding around hitting 5x, 10x, etc. and using the combat takedowns (which are unblockable) on knife and baton guys.
basically in the shock and awe (extreme) i tried for alot of ringouts. on the 4th round i barely got everyone in time (i finished just after the electricity was coming on) but luckily i had all three bats by that time, and therefore enough bats to score some heroin
What I love about the combat challenges is that you constantly have to be planning ahead right in the middle of your current attacks. Especially in ones like Shock and Awe where you have a buttload stun baton and knife douches. I found those to be extremely fun.
I was able to get all medals for the challenges a couple days ago, and I finally started to get a handle on how to set up traps and such in predator rooms pretty efficiently. So now it's just a matter of getting faster times, which aren't as fun as taking my sweet time and enjoying their fear.
EDIT: Also Jokers challenge maps don't count towards medals, they're just for points.

yeah, the point requirement is a complete non-issue. I just keep getting my combo cockblocked by stupid randomness. My last attempt, Batman decided to sweep kick a guy who just happened to be standing next to a baton guy. I sweep them both, but get the "stun" hit and countered. This'll happen with blade guys too.
It doesn't help that I can basically not use the Y button at all, since everyone has a baton or a shock stick. God help me if one of those assholes gets to the gun cabinet.
Such an annoying fucking challenge. I hate anything timed :[
It is more annoying timed, but I find that usually, so long as the knife enemies are kept to a minimum, it's not bad. You have to make sure to build up your combo, and remember that when a knife/shock enemy is near a stun/evade move will keep combo and not let you get hit. After you get your combo up, it's just a matter of braking the knife guys in half, then tossing the stun ones.
Or just fight up on the raised areas where the gun cabinets are. I do that all the time and nobody has ever run to the other raised platform to get a gun from there.
And yes, you can hit knife guys in the back no problem, but it's safer to stun and not risk your combo. Plus the stun counts for variation bonus.

You can jump over them, but most of the time when you do and try to attack they'll have already turned to you and be in position to block. So it's always safer to stun and hit, or if you can combat takedown/throw that would be even better.
In some of the later challenges you'll face quite a bit of stun baton, knife and if they can get to it, machine gun thugs.
Best score I've gotten in any challenge room to date was the titan one. Got a combo up to like 15 or so, he charged me, and i managed to react accordingly, got the combo up to like 20 stunning him, then climbed onto him. Didn't know this until that moment but climbing on their back retains your combo multiplier. He then did his flaily bit, which got my multiplier into the 40's before he tossed me off, and got my multiplier into the 60's taking out the last handful of guys in the room. Lost my multiplier after that but it was just me and the titan at that point. Mostly just luck I fear, but either way i 3 medaled it on the first go.
