Haha he's considered a 'valuable community member'? The fuck?
So I guess they aren't going to do anything to people who've been idling then, if the creator gets a fancy gift.
Unless he's done other stuff that I'm not aware of.
no like how sometimes a direct pipe will sometimes kill a 125hp class but won't most of the time, but anyway the wiki seems to imply that there is no variance for sniper headshots

Headshots are crits so they've never had any variance.

yeah explosives are weird anyway because of the splash damage calculations in reference to the hitbox of the 125hp class at the time
Also healing the same target reduces the ubercharge rate by quite a bit, but you could just heal the other medics and enjoy having 225hp ( no more bodyshot deaths woo)

I really wish there was a variable so we could see the area of splash damage. Sometimes it seems like you should be out of reach and it kills you, and sometimes it looks like it's a sure thing to hit and nothing.

yeah thats always been the strangest thing. it's like anything direct on someone will really hurt, but if you shoot the ground an inch away from them its barely damaging at all.
After playing on pub, i've come to the conclusion that i'm a terrible spy, except with the dead ringer, then i'm just average (and sometimes a dumbass as I was decloaking infront of people without realising)
aren't those weapons supposed to have drawbacks? o_O
Based on this and the screenshots of developer weapons going around, apparently Valve thinks not.
In some ways the logic makes sense.. if everyone has twice as many hitpoints, 100% crits isn't as big a deal. But it seems like it's going to seriously damage the game in the long run. How long is a new player going to stick around if he logs in for the first time and has all stock weapons, while everyone else is flying around doing godlike damage?

I'm thinking that these are going to be beyond rare, given to mapmakers that get into updates and the like, so that's probably not a concern.

I don't care how rare they are, all it takes is running into one of those jokers once to ruin the game. You already die fast in TF2, what's the point of playing against someone who can one-shot anything?

I cried inside when that happened
AKA [PA]Ilovepandas
every team should have a million medics following one person
Oh wait you said new. :j
TRAFFIC CONE!
No. I believe that there are diminishing returns when multiple medics are healing a single target and a crit rocket would be able to take him out.
Any other weapons like this?

But I don't know what that is.
I take that back. A two-hatted man, such as myself, could never be wrong.
2 Medics on one Heavy will already let him survive a Crit Rocket if he's fully overhealed I think.
Sometimes I Stream Games: http://www.ustream.tv/channel/italax-plays-video-games
One fully-charged headshot or one well placed backstab will still kill him.
Unless he has 11 medics on him, giving him a constant stream of Ubercharges!

I didn't even recognize anyone. Also I suck now for some reason.
This isn't like riding a bike at all!

Does this have any relation to Old Man Murray's Crate rating system?
