I'll admit. I was hoping for a post Blackest Night GL story arc where Abominous got pushed out of leadership of the Red Lanterns by new recruits who actually know how to control and channel they're hate.

New Faces of Hate, etc. I think cold blooded hatred fueled badasses would really run the GL's through the wringer.

    Atrocitus.

Abominous is the name of the next obviously named villain, along with Malevolo, Dismalis, Horribliktus, Menacetress.

Sorry. Had a lapse there. Obnoxious, Insanitus, Happius, Sneezius, Grumpius, Dopious.

The Sinestro Corps will never be a peacekeeping force. At least not with the current roster. The entire Corps is full of monsters and villains who spread fear with death and destruction as their tools. Sinestro might be a control freak, but he employs people who are incompatible with control. Most of his corpsmen are agents of chaos.

Edit: As a follow-up thought, it is very unlikely that the core members of the SC will be replaced either. Akrillo and Lyssa Drak are both fairly well established at this point as Sinestro's main lieutenants.

But these are the kinda people in Sinestro's twisted world view that would impose control via fear. Vil Drox is the first hint that the Corps could be more than super powered terrorists.

I don't know who Matt Moylan is, but all he did was take a joke that was beaten to death since the end of Sinestro Corps War and added pretty bad art to it.

Sometimes you have to take the stick out of your ass and not only read comics about haunted vaginas and intergalactic paint wars.

I could see Sinestro being overthrown by someone who wasn't quite as batshit insane and losing the corps. Would make for good stories for him to deal with a second failure as a ring-leader.

Fair enough but it also helps when the content you're reading is good. Those are neither good nor clever in any way.

Were any of the BN tie-ins good this week? I haven't had a chance to read them yet.

I really want Earth to basically say "Fuck You" to every single Lantern (except for the humans, obviously) and essentially tell them off, with specifics such as "The manhunters were a terrible idea the first time! Why would you try that again?"

Outsiders was good, best of the ring tie-ins. Tatsu's husband and kids come back with swords and Terra plays on heartstrings.

Adventure Comics was nothing important like it being Blackest Night #4.5 as Johns and Didio were hyping. It was a very stupid comic where the creators wanted to make fun of the people buying their book(s), and on top of that we had Superboy Prime doing what he does best, which is nothing.

Yeah, Adventure Comics was completely missable. It was more of a parody of comic culture than an actual story.

A lot of the critics seem to be saying that it was Johns taking the piss out of his own event, which sounds pretty good but not something I'd like to see promoted as a tie-in.

I loved how BL Alexander Luthor had never heard of the internet. Especially after he had used it in IC.

Also- does the Outsiders issue happen before or after BN#4. If it's after, it explains Terra's actions more for me.
The BLs are at 100% already, and seem to be moving on from primarily removing hearts.

Pretty sure that was a Rich Johnston thing and not Johns or Didio. I first read about "Blackest Night 4.5" on his site, anyway.

I wouldnt call a reformed a Sinestro Corps a peacekeeping force. I'd see it as a Bad Cop to the Green Lantern's Good Cop. Major criminals turning themselves over to the GLC because they've heard a bit of a rumor that there's a SC somewhere in their system. moderately unhappy with their actions.

If the Sinestro Corps becomes the Batmen of Outer Space, there's going to be a culling. A drastic culling. It will be by Sinestro's hand. And, if it happens, it will be glorious.

Could be connected to the whole Omega Sanction issue, i.e. breaking death. Perhaps Darkseid, in using this ultimate punishment never employed before, broke the proper life/death connection, thus allowing Nekron to push through and take advantage of the Anti-Monitor's corpse, etc.

Either way, BlackHand has been galavanting about with Batman's (or is it?! dun dun DUNNN) skull for a while now. With everyone coming back from the dead Batman was kind of the elephant in the room with regards to when he'd be addressed.

I think it would be great if he came back but wasn't evil - like he has some sort of indomitable will or something.

Well see that would depend on the future because if he finds a way out of the past at any point in the past there wouldn't be a body in the past now would there?

Yes, Rans, it's a typo. The correct reading order is BN #6, GL #48, BN #5.
