Hi,
I'm a British guy visiting Seattle for my summer holiday, partly because of the chance to go to PAX, partly because this city sounded amazing (for anyone wondering, good news, totally is!). I'm staying with family in the Bellevue area, near Ardmore Park, and was wondering if any friendly (or at least non-hostile) locals would be willing to carpool to the convention. I'm quite willing to help out with petrol (gas) money for the journey.
Thanks for any and all replies,
Cheers,
Tom Clarke
P.S. Any suggestions for stuff to visit? I've already been shown around Pike Place, the Needle and Pioneer's Square, so I'm really happy so far.
If you and whoever is hosting you, feel like going to the fair I can get you some free admission tickets. Save you ten bucks each and you can even take the train to Puyallup from Seattle. Just PM if you're up for it.
Depending on exactly where you are, I could have an extra seat in my car. Send me a Private Message with the address you're staying at and I'll let you know how well it would work.
Another option is to take a bus into the city and back. I've done that a number of times when I didn't feel like driving.
EDIT: I see now that you said you're near Ardmore Park. That's just down the way from me. I'm just north of Microsoft. I'd be happy to give you a ride, but I don't know what my schedule is going to be at the moment. Ideally it'll be early to rise, late to bed.
I live nearby. if you haven't already found a ride, send me e-mail at <my username> @ gmail.com
I'll probably be able to drive at least 1 of the 3 days, other day, I might just drive to the park and ride and we'd take a bus.
as a general comment, it would be helpful to know which days you're going and how late you're staying (ie. I'm only staying for the saturday night concerts)

There are still some spots open, and THIS is the way to see Seattle!
