Yeah I read the book a couple years ago. I also read his other book, "Them". (Or was it "They"?) I can't remember. I thought they were making a movie out of that one too.
I actually fell asleep somewhere around the middle of the movie. The meandering plot and a few other factors apparently weren't really doing it for me. My gf tells me that it was enjoyable, but slow and likely should not have been a flick we saw in the theater.
I woke up all confused at the end of the movie. No idea how they all ended up on the same based or what the hell was going on. Barney reference? goat with bell that found water? Yea...these are all things I missed entirely.
