Care to share? I hate those bastards and usually end up using a plasma pistol to hijack/turn the tables, or abuse the unlimited fuel rod ammo passenger on the warthog... Either way success rate is not so good.
I climb up under the bridge with the chopper at the far end away from the wraith, turn around, and drive right at him shooting him, and at the last moment boost into the front of the wraith. 99% of the time both the brutes die and the wraith is intact. the other 1% i end up on top of the wraith and it boosts away
But I found him on Live.. yeah, if i can complete Tsavo that will seal the deal. Bastard got 40 minutes on me on Crow's Nest, though.
That's just crazy enough to work. Very clever, Fyre. Can you still use the wraith to mortar the beejeezus out of the next area, or is that too quick or too much staying still?
yeah, the wraith survives. There's so many brutes after that point, though, that I think i'm just going to slowly drive it towards the end and shell all of them to death in the safety of a gigantic tank.
I don't blame you on that one, but does the staying still rule still count for wraith plasma slinging and can you milk enough time out of that tactic? Like stopping to look at a car crash, I must admit I am grotesquely interested in what you are putting yourself through.
you can stay still as long as you're actively attack, ie you can stay still to snipe. so stopping to shell instead of boosting to your doom is okay. gotta start moving after everyone is dead though.
i need to figure out how he did 3 hours on Floodgate though.. that amount of time on there doesn't seem to pass the smell test.
That is a lot of time for arguably the shortest actual level (Arrival doesn't count, dammit). Hell, my mythic run for that level is 1:15. I suppose he could have killed every single flood in an area before moving on (and let the infection forms resurrect the others for more time) but don't forget that those pure forms at the end can take a lot of punishment. If he sat back on the turret (that seems like a violation of the rules or at least the spirit of the competition) or picked up anything and everything (barring power weapons) to put into them up close (lots of 100% weapons at the crash site), they could probably absorb most of it and leave a lot of time for him to just dance around and get time.
Dirt 2 is pretty fun. I do wish I had the ODST avatar armor though. It would be much cooler to have an ODST avatar hanging from my rear view mirror, than some dude with a beanie and a Hawaiian shirt.

Hey guys... can I come shoot things with you on 9/22?
I am falling towards that rocket explosion. You can see the smoke trail too. Earlier in the match I hit one guy at their base with a nade. The second guy respawns, switches to his pistol, and shoots his teamate in the head (giving me the kill like 6 seconds after my nade). I'm pretty sure he was just messing around and didn't notice that the other guy's shields were down. I also had a tripmine knock a guy off the map. The luck wasn't all on our side this game. I shotgunned a guy at half shields, from melee range and didn't kill him. I guess all the shots went to the 25% of the reticule that wasn't over his chest...
