Network trouble

So the other day i sat down to my computer, to do a whole lot of nothing on the internet, when much to my surprise, firefox said it was in "offline mode"

When i turned offline mode off, it refused to connect. confused, i checked my router. it didnt show a light on where i was connected. Then my computer said that there wasn't a cord plugged in.

so i tried, rebooting the computer, resetting the router, switching Ethernet ports on my computer, but none of this seems to fix it.

the closest i have come is that once, it said that "this device has limited or no connectivity"

Keep in mind i know the cord works, i tested it on 2 other computers. and i know the router works because im posting this from another computer on said router.

so far the worst case scenario i can think of is that somehow, BOTH of my jacks in my motherboard are blown out. help me plz?
