Eevees tend to be a little lacklustre without certain Egg Moves or TM use, to be honest. I think the best bet would be to identify the gap in your lineup, and evolve the Eevee into that niche! Jolteon's a solid special attacker with Electric moves, and Espeon with Psychic. Umbreon can tank quite well, but that's not so important in single-player. Vaporeon can be pretty awesome with Surf and Ice Beam, too. It's only really Flareon that loses out.
It was funny seeing that guy aqua jet something his own poke uses.
The 'I only use my favorite ones and don't care if I lose' is kind of flimsy. Why does everyone's favorite pokemon also happen to be bad for competitive battling? it's like some huge coincidence that makes you think everyone hates the OU pokes and only uses them because they are good. I bet a lot of it has to do with charizard..
My favorite is Scizor so it works out for me. And a lot of the ones I like are also OU.
e: Munkus I don't think I've faced Jim yet. I've always been curious about your strategy with him. I have my own Toxicroak that I don't really care for but he has come in handy a few times. Taunt can be very annoying.

Taunt and Sucker Punch is a pretty neat combo for shutting down status users or self-buffers that also attack, though I usually see it on bulkier things like Spiritomb.
I will openly admit to hating Blissey, Gyarados, and probably a few more purely because I'm fucking sick of fighting them.
On the other hand, Gengar's one of my favorites.
The one thing I cannot stand about Blissey is how skill-lessly you can switch it into any special attacker without trick/explosion and completely wall them. it's stupid. That and shoddy teams past about 1400 CRE are pretty much all stall teams and it is boring as fuck. I hoover around 1300 when I play on it just to see some variety in the teams, even though I've made it to the high 1400s with my ladder team.
I don't think I've every battled without that Metagross. I wish I could nickname it.

I think the only two I absolutely abhor are Gyarados (I just can't ever seem to counter it no matter what I do) and Blissey (for obvious reasons). I don't really mind any of the others, not even Skarmory, though it cold be that I gain a greater sense of accomplishment in using guys like Espeon to destroy OUs like Infernape than in just outright winning.
Hmm, looking it over, it seems that my first HGSS team is comprised of all OUs, though quite a few of them are a tad weaker than others (as in using run-and-gun tactics).

Those are all boring pokemon.

That's you're reasoning for letting gyrados run all over you? because of an abritrary label on a few pokes? Jolteon is one of my favorite pokemon anyway so I guess I'm a boring pokemon player.

It was a good game, Nerd! I got dragged off by housemates right after, so couldn't say so here. I want to get back into battling more regularly.
Rotom. Hmm. I should train a Rotom sometime, cute little buggers. I just had no idea what to do with it. I also need some hardcore physical sweepers - any suggestions? I have some already, but I don't use them so often.
Rotom and Jolteon aren't boring, though. Jolteon's kinda predictable because, well. Tiny movepool. Rotom's got a lot of options going for it though, right?

I need to use my Tyranitar more. I had a good basis for a team there, but they all tended towards spongetastic as opposed to sweepy. Also, oh god Ice/Grass weakness lol.

I don't let Gyrados run all over me. I have multiple ways of kicking his ass into next week.
I just don't use those pokes to do it because they are boring.
Well, Rotom is boring. And Latias is a legendary, and I don't trust anyone who uses a legendary with a proper nature and good IVs.

I think mine are still mostly UUs.

Anyway, would you like me to switch? I have a few other NUs.

I do occasionally use specs with it, though.
Good game, by the way. It was fun to get back into things again.
