Anjana the chimp shows off her parenting skills...with a puma cub

    article0063b2773000005dg.jpg

    article0063b2688000005d.jpg
She has a tender heart, a nice hairy shoulder to cry on - and she knows where her zoo keeps the baby wipes.

So Anjana the chimpanzee is well qualified to be a kitten-sitter.

Since orphaned puma cub Sierra turned up at the zoo, Anjana has helped her human carers with all the feeding, cuddling and chasing duties.

    it's a question of context
they're very social animals within their own group, working together to gather food or care for young, grooming, etc
of course there's also some struggle within the group for dominance, but overall they're cooperative within their group

however, they certainly are quite aggressive toward other groups because of course other chimp groups are competing with them for valuable resources

My doggies! The brown one, Remmy, (who was taking a moment to escape from her newly-born puppies) had to stay in Sacramento and I miss her terribly because she was my piggy and i loved her ;-; The white one had to be put to sleep recently because of liver failure, and he was a great dog. He'd been pretty badly abused when he was a puppy, so he was very shy, but he was the most gentle dog ever. The black one is still at my house and he rocks but he can be kind of a butt.

KITTIES! Shmee is the tabby, and she's a pudgy kitty now. Earl is the black and white one and he is really skinny and he lives with my grandma out in the country.

Your genetic code is much more similar to Hitler's than it is to a chimp's

So my grandpa sent me an e-mail today with this message
When hurricane Hannah separated two white tigers from their mother, Anjana came to the rescue. Anjana, a chimp at TIGERS in South Carolina, became surrogate mom and playmate to the cubs, even helping with bottle feeding, according to The Sun. But here's the truly amazing part: This is something Anjana does all the time, having helped raised leopard and lion cubs on several occasions. These pictures are truly gorgeous.

    He's right just look!

I think if he was bigger he would be able to open doors. Mine picks up things with his thumbs too. I think that's why our other cat hates him. She is jealous of his abilities.
