Are you alliance on Ravenholdt. If so I saw you, Justinsane last night running into SM. The only reason I didn't kill you (if it was), is because I thought hey, I wonder if this is that dude from the forums, and then you (if it was) vanished into a portal.
H-Motherfuck:I actually beat a 3 person quest(Valanar/Thassarian), by healing it, and then don't get credit because I guess I didn't hit the dude once or twice. Doing it the first time took like 6 minutes because I was healing.
Then I try it again, and immediately am disconnected from the server.
Wait, so did you solo it by thorns/ret aura it to death? Or did you mean you were in a group for it and healed it?
I imagine he just healed the hell out of Thassarian. I did the same on my shaman and tossed the occasional flame shock or lightning bolt. Works if you do a little damage to Valanar.

Yep, only I was in treeform, so I was not thinking about doing any damage to Valanar. I also have no idea if there would be some minimum threshold for damage, or if I could just hit him once.
I might have found out, except for the server disconnecting me.
Happy: Rogue hit 74 last night in AV. I never really realized how easy PVP leveling was! Around 100k xp per game!
Hope: They can add harpies to the other BGs to accomodate other badge needs :P
And yes I do feel bad, but what was a level 73 rogue going to do anyways other than kill afkers?

At level 73, I was sneaking around the battlefield, killing lower/equal level people and even some PvP geared level 80s.*
Also, you can capture the Alliance towers (or defend them if you're Alliance) by hiding behind one of the pillars near the flag and inching forward just ever so slightly to be able to interact with the flag while staying behind the pillar, out of sight of archers and opposite side players.
*Mostly warlocks.
edit: Well I sure edited the shit out of this post.
Happiness: I hopped in AV last night on my Rogue for the GNERD achievement, I must say I'm a fan of the separate queue for 71-79.... I'm not trying to whittle away at a prot pally with 40k health, that's a plus. And the general level seems to be lower 70's, so I get to watch the kids with 9k health explode in half a second vs my mighty quest greens. Good times I tell ya.
Happy: Like so many I got me a Violet Proto Drake It's such a girly drake I love it! We calling it the Barbie version since all the guys in my guild hack on it and all the girls want one
Happy2: We have a group set up for HH summons with friends so i never have to pug it. Between all them plus alts that is somewhere around 15 summons in one day (or more). So that leads to...
Hope: I win a roll for the mount. I missed the Kodo one during brewfest (fuck my dice twice), and so far I seen the horsemen mount once this week and of course I lost the roll!

This only works for Dun Baldar South. Every other bunker has at least one archer positioned to fuck you if you try this.
That entire map is so heinously misbalanced it's ridiculous. It really needs a touch-up to compare to the other BGs. Right now it's like it was designed assuming the Horde are strategic geniuses while the Alliance can barely put their pants on by themselves, when in fact both sides are decidedly the latter.

There's a spot in Stonehearth Bunker that you can do this too.

I'm fairly sure it also works in Icewing bunker as I have done it there. Not sure if there were archers present at the time or if they were just shooting at someone else.
Is there? I know for sure Icewing and Dun Baldar North don't quite work unless you CC one archer, but I do usually skip Stonehearth since that's the one the pile of morons sits on.

It is possible in the north bunker as well, the key to that one is not hide by the pillar by the flag, but by the pillar to the left of the flag. You can hide behind it and still reach the flag without getting in sight. It's how I manage to solo N/S bunkers on my druid at the start of the game.
Happy: 25 Heroic Anub down last night with 5 attempts to go.
Hate: The entirety of phase 3 of that fight. Having my health maintained around 2-3k tops is awful for the minutes that it lasts. I'm sure it drives the healers crazy.
Dismay: 3 paladins is pretty much the necessity to guarantee solid kite phases. I think you could luck into it with 2, provided the targeted people all had good speed boosts, but it's kinda horseshit that BoP is so overpowered for the kiting.
I don't worry about the aura in Phase 3 as a druid, my HoTs will keep people alive who have the aura as there's a point where one Rejuv tick heals more than the damage done to them and it gets into this loop of basically steady life. What I do worry about is Penetrating Cold because that's what kills people.
Everyone at no health in P3 isn't bad, Healing Stream Totems, JoL & Vampiric Embrace are keeping them up. (And Holy Nova R5 if you're short one)
Like Opty said.... Penetrating Cold. No blinking until you've found your PC target, then it's smooth sailing for like 15 seconds.
Also, it's scary as shit watching the Holy Paladins putting out a billion threat since all their healing is effective in that phase. And the add tanks have block sets on so their +hit suffers.

Noooooooooo: Exactly what I was hoping for drops. And then, this happens.
He's wearing 232-level epic pants. I'm wearing 187-level blues. And he wouldn't sell (although I didn't have all that much to offer, only 1.2k gold on hand).

funny story
i won the rogue 245 pants once. I was the only rogue in the raid.
They AoE still. I think the last set you can just let burrow, but we keep having stupid stuff happen around the 11% mark. Which drives me insane since nothing changes.... Just one missed taunt or one missed PC tick (Which is somehow always on a healer) and it just cascades into oblivion.
I lost the 25 man tier 7 pants to a "accident" on my rogue from a guild that I will make regret that incident for the rest of their time the rogue and druid who lead the raid especially
I lost the 25 man tier 8 gloves to another warlock who had the Gul'dan ones who refused to hand them over when I pointed out that fact claiming they were an upgrade for him
Well, I did get T8 gloves off of Emalon later, as well as 10 Triumph emblems from 2x Koralon and 2x Onyxia (all in PUGs), so it's still a good morning overall. Heroic daily added 2 more emblems and blue pants that at least got me from itemlevel 187 to 200 there. Should be able to pick up T9-232 shoulders by Sunday, at this rate.

Happy: Finally got a hallowed helm on my main, and with it a violet proto.
Hate: My alt, who's had a hallowed helm for a year now, got a squashling one run after and didn't get sinister calling
Hope: I get credited with sinister calling so I don't have to go get yet another helm

Its the same thing for both sides, and it always has been.
Sure, you can go on about how some minor terrain difference means that the horde loses all the time, but as someone who's spent so much time in that god forsaken place that I know every detail of the revised map (been too long to remember the old versions all that well) and on both factions, I can safely say that complaining about that map favoring the other side is about as valid as blaming every death you suffer to lag.
Happy: Squashling then done with Halloween! Yeah! This is actually one of the easier holidays it seemed to me. Brewfest was still the easiest, but at least the flying around the world shit was only in horde towns.
The Noble one was the easiest for me
Run around a building for a hour or two and shit some eggs after walking to the other size of the world as a rabbit. On the way remember to make some Flowers in the sand
IT took my warlock 100+ summons and I lost it over 20 times after the level 62 preist got it was enough master loot ninja!
I just need the squashling and the helm and I'll have the acheivement. I hope I don't get screwed out of it again this year. It's not looking good so far. About half the time I've been tricked and I'm starting to pile up a lot of candy corn.
Hate: I have the helm on my Rogue from last year, I *know* it counted (yes I looked to update the spreadsheet OMG SHUT UP) up until server reset today.... I get the pet from trick or treating (woo!) um.... No achievement. The Helm doesn't feel like counting anymore I guess.
Extra lame: We had like 6 Helms drop last night in our marathon summons.

Back when Shadowstep was cool I used to do that up to one of the archers from the back of SH then cap it super quick.
Fokker was the best anyway.
We got 5 caster rings last night, no brooms, no pets, no swords even. I'm going to be very upset if I don't get my achievement because of BS RNG.
