[PRIME] Pinball during PAX!

There's a place in Seattle called Shorty's that specializes in pinball. They have about 16 pins in a dedicated room, with drink tables and everything, all in thoroughly playable states of condition. They also serve some good beer, and do awesome gourmet hot dogs. Pinball, beer, hot dogs... I know, right? According to their website, here's what they have:

I went there last year with some friends from PAX and had a blast. Being a pinball enthusiast is becoming an increasingly depressing thing to be, so it's nice to find a place that still has some good action. If their list is correct, they have a nice mix of old and new games.

Would anyone be interested in meeting up sometime during the expo, probably after it's closed one night, and heading down there for some awesome pinball? It's a pleasant 10-15 minute walk from the convention center. It's a full bar inside, so you do have to be 21+. If you're under 21 I honestly don't expect you to know what pinball is, anyway. :mrgreen:

    I'd be game for some pinball. Ground Kontrol is great, but it lacks a Medieval Madness machine. I have a pile of quarters that I've been meaning to donate to the trolls. I don't suppose Shorty's is open from 3am-10am?

    And they sell Strongbow in giant cans!!! Which I can no longer drink, but it's still awesome anyway. Last year there was a pre-pax meetup at Shorty's on Thursday night, but I'm guessing it's been forgone due to the pub crawl always being Thursday night.

    I've been there twice with some PAers and it was a blast every time. If you're there after 8, at least on weekends, they open the back room that has a second bar and larger tables.

    I'd love to get back there again, perhaps we could setup a dinner thing. There's a good noodle place a few doors down.

    You know what sucks? I was SOOOOOOO excited when I saw this thread but then i saw I had to have an ID...

    I am 27 so dont get me wrong, i am old enough, I just had my ID stolen a couple weeks ago and havent been able to afford to get a new one. (I won my tickets and all that) :-(

    Would they card me once they saw I am balding already? LoL

    Anyways, I would love to go but maybe gonna have to be next year. (I am gonna try though...)

    Hmm, pinball and beer.

    And many of the tables I haven't seen in years.

    This is damn tempting, if it's Friday night I'm totally there, but I'm going to the concerts on Saturday night (must see JoCo and Freezpop), and Sunday is the PPDP.

    Indeed they did, sadly with Stern being the only company in the game anymore, I would rather not have PA table ever, then let Stern rape the IP.

    Where were you guys? I was there from about 10 to 1:30. Left my initials on the Arabian Nights machine. If you can beat JCP's score, I'll buy you a drink.

    I was there playing Joust, until it got a little hot and squishy. I actually went agian tonight and there was a Bungie party going on!

    I got one of the top scores on Arabian Nights with something in the 50M range on Sunday night--It calls it the number 2 score, but that doesn't count the supreme score of almost a billion.

    Uh-oh. If you got the #2 the score that means you knocked me down from #3 to #4. Mine was 24 something, I think.
