I hate PvP, but for shits and giggles, I went into SotA as frost, wearing only quest blues and crafted engineering shit. I came across 5 alliance and dove headfirst, just tab targeting and pressing random buttons.
They all died.
I know people like to throw hyperbole around about wow, but if this is a true story then you came across five sleeping players, because if it was just 5 warlocks in blues pressing shadow bolt you wouldn't have been able to kill them before they killed you.
It was a ret paladin, sub rogue, enh shammy, survival hunter, and a holy priest.
I'm still calling bullshit, I have some of the best available gear on the highest damage aoe class in the game and I find that pretty absurd.
Remember when HB did double damage to frost fevered targets and barely had a cooldown?
Morv....getting hard to believe you here....unless they were incapable of hitting keys other than auto attack. The rogue could have stunned you once and your life would be gone. The priest would only have to heal once and you woulda been around too long.
FRAPs or we don't believe you!
look, i'm already picking up my GPS
going to get in my god damn car
and drive to your house
seriously
So I'm level 29, just did Dr. Destroyer's Lair (Bullshit with people who can't block. was able to do it with 3 people before the Sunday Night crash with the setback. Then did it with 5 -facerollers-.) Every other single missions is done.
I'm 1 bubble from 30. How fucked am I going to be for 30-40?

its not bullshit, it was nerfed to shit though. you could nail 5 dudes with howling blast three times and kill them all before icebound fortitude dropped. The overpowered part was the fact that you could get triple diseases in unholy + killing machine would be up about 95% of the time. I would pull 7500 dps in greens before they nerfed it.

Apparently the summoning circle powers from Sorcery are going to get changed to Rituals later so you can have a summon out and another Circle at the same time

That would be awesome. I simply could not play with the one summoning circle pet until I got the advantage to be able to control him, because I'd always lay down the circle just outside the range of my eldritch blast, so I'd have to move then lay it down again. It took effin' ages. Then I'd end up aggroing before the pet was out, and then I'd die.

The trouble with having an open mind, of course, is that people will insist on coming along and trying to put things in it. ~ Terry Pratchett
For Two-Gun Mojo you also get a stack of Enrage if you maintain it fully.
I haven't read the powers, but gatling gun also gives enrage if maintained fully. I don't know if that's documented/intended. I now wonder if SMG and Rifle also give enrage on a full maintain.
I was playing around with a build that had like an army of minions. I wonder how well that'd work.
I tried it in OB. Be prepared for lots and lots of frustration at their terrible ability to get lost or keep up with you as you move from group to group while not doing that great damage. Hopefully pets will get patched up at some point.
Nice about the sorc circles though.

Ahhhhhhhhh I could've had a V8. I just figured out why my 360 controller isn't working in Champs.
It is because my 360 is on the other side of the wall where my PC is. So when I power up my controller it's firing up my Xbox and is getting bound to the Xbox. FFFUUUU, guess I have to unplug my Xbox when I use my controller for Champs.
FYI for anyone who may be having a smililar issue.

well my plan was to create somebody with healing + lots of pets.
so I summon all these pets and heal them+ if im in a group im healing everyone else too.

31-32 is pretty sparse.
Missions pick up like crazy at 34.
Nemesis minions sure don't drop enough nemesis quests. That would be a great way to fill in the content gaps right there.

i didn't start monster island until 30.4. I still have a TON of quests and just hit 32 with doing telios tower and dr d's factory. So I didn't get this "sparse" thing at all. and I still have to do burial grounds.

I dunno, I think a lot of people don't use the Crime Computer, or think because a mission is Green or Grey, they shouldn't do it. You should do every mission in your CC, and you should constantly check your CC for new contacts and get their missions before you level past them. Even if the mission turns green or grey, it's worth doing for the XP payout.

The problem really is that you'll end up having to spend lots of time/energy resummoning them constantly. And in PvP they become a sonic device liability :-/

I did every fucking mission possible, yes. they need a way to list/show missions you leveled past, because they still give great xp, and if people knew they missed they, they wouldn't be bitching at level 30 in MC zone chat.

well the pets would be for soloing, when im grouped I'd probably pull them out at the start and maybe before boss fights but not care too much about them if they die.

This. Also, if you need to do nearly all of the quests to hit 40, they really should make the crime computer show all the contacts in that zone with missions.
Edit: to be clear, I mean it should show every single contact with missions. There are quite a few contacts that do not show up in the crime computer, and they need to show up. At least until there's enough content for them to be optional.

With a wired controller? Those're the ones that work straight out of the box with a pc. I think you need a receiver and some drivers for a wireless one to work on your pc.

The plug and play pack? That is strictly for charging. AFAIK you can't do anything else with it. The receiver is only $20 though, and almost worth the investment. Personally I preferred the Cyborg V3 pad that I got at Best Buy for $30. The analog and D-pad can be switched around for great justice.
On an unrelated side note, Christoph Waltz is now playing the villain in the Green Hornet. That's a BINGO!

Yep, the plug and play charger. There goes that idea. Thank you for setting me straight though.
But.....when I used the USB cord with the wireless controller, my PC recognized it instantly and downloaded the drivers for me. Champs never responded when I tried to move my toon though. Thought it was because the Xbox was on.

Ah, it makes sense that Windows would detect it. If you're able to test the buttons in your device manager, you may just need different drivers, or perhaps a 360 controller emulator (kind of redundant) for it to work in game.
If there is still question, the wireless controller won't work without windows unless you buy the wireless adapter thing for the PC. The plug and play thing doesn't work, it's a trick. Yes, they very clearly did it in order to make things more use-specific and expensive.

I know that.
I'm debating whether to buy the adapter, or to just buy a wired controller.
See I am the only person who apparently likes PFF.
That being said, I don't have any extensive experience with Invulnerability and Regen.
That being said if they really are that much superior to PFF, then they are going to need to boost mobs damage again I suspect. And I am not even kidding.
I don't have any plans to try them anytime soon as I am stuck with my main now and enjoying it, and my two top alts to play next are likely going offensive passive routes early on.
Yeah, my idea is that we have a "main" guild, which is, duh, a guild for all our highest-level "main" characters.
Then we can have fun "theme" guilds like, for example, the New Hampshire Darkmagics for nothing but magic-themed toons.
A "CTS" Guild for nothing but dual and single-sword using toons who must, as a requirement, all have a CTS alternate costume.
etc etc...
But yeah, alts shouldn't be in the main SG, stick to one character per guild.
Is there a reason to be in a guild besides the tag on your character and the costume slot? If not then we can create as many splinter guilds as we want with no detriment since everyone talks in group chat anyway.
Yeah. I did not join the guild yet, but I would like too. But if we set up multiple versions of the guild that would probably be okay too.. unless there is some serious bidness to attend to in the future.

Yeah old missions still offer good experience. I think at level 20 I did some level 10-11 missions and they were giving me 40%-60% of the experience from level 20 missions... which given how easy they were to do was very worthwhile.

I don't think there is any limit to the number of powers. You can't summon like 4 bots by casting munitions bots twice however.
