New additions to the 3.2.2 patch notes are up. My standout favourite:
-The blacksmiths of Orgrimmar grew tired of running to the rear of the city to craft items and have installed a new anvil & forge at the General Store in the Valley of Strength.
Jesus jumped-up Christ it's about time they did this. FUCK.
Dear god I wish this was in yesterday. I'm leveling BS'ing on my DK and I want to rip my pubes out running back and forth all the time.

Don't know how I missed this change in the notes, but thank GOD.
I know I'm a little late on the Merch in RO comment, however, the Auction House in WoW is supposed to be the whole "player driven" economy thing, but what happens is that you literally end up with people setting insane prices because you can SEE the global economy from one window.
Merchant like class/profession would be insanely awesome. The ability to to setup shops in various areas, making money off region based tactics, prices changing on a regular basis to keep competition up... ahh... the best stuff come from player based shops.
Granted, you have some issues you would run into allowing players to do that, but strict limitations on the profession would not inhibit the functionality, just deter people from exploiting it.

We will never see that in WoW though.
We won't see that because nobody wants to see Dalaran completely covered with speech bubbles decrying, "[email protected]! FISH FEEST 2G".

Merchants work in RO, but I would much rather have a AH type system where everything is in one place and I can search through it rather than visit 20+ shops to attempt to find what I need. Also to whoever said they took days to level .2% of level 40, it helps to actually know how to play since either you had absolutely no clue what you were doing in RO or it's a extreme exaggeration.

They fixed them on my realm/battlegroup quite a few weeks ago. Can't even remember when was the last time I couldn't get into an instance because of it.
I haven't had any problems on my server for a few weeks, but then, the only instance I've been in frequently in that time frame has been the Stockade.

Im almost into the 71 bracket for AV. I have been (painfully) leveling using AV and whatever rest I have for instance runs. I did like 64-69 mostly through LOSING AV. its still good. Plus I can much more easilly do it while say, watching TV.
Although I do find I need to do some TBC quests now so I can get the PVP blue gear at 70, but now that I can fly its going to be easy.

I feel like I'm "cheating the system" selling nerubian leg armor. It's like 700% profit.
And speaking of the Stockades. A heroic run to it through enemy territory ends like this..
I've been dreading the day that happens, particularly since I tend to have a train of 3-6 angry people behind me by the time I need an escape route.
Also, fun fact: the Thief Catchers and Officers who patrol Ironforge and Stormwind respectively are quite vulnerable to mind control. And the people who get in the way of them when they're my slaves are quite vulnerable to the 1.5-2k damage per hit that they deal.
Speaking of random amazing players like that Mage in Naxx a page back or so, a friend of mine partied with this guy last night for Heroic ToC.
I think he might've gotten a couple extra pieces, somehow, but about half of his stuff is level 70 PvP gear, half of the other half is level 80 +Defense gear and the last few pieces are actually appropriate for Ret. However, some of his stuff isn't gemmed, some of it's enchanted and some of it's not, he's kind of all over the place. I didn't even look at his spec to see whether his Ret spec was retarded or not...
Anyhow, they wipe on the first boss like 3 times, my friend tells me that this guy's doing an average of about 500DPS, occasionally peaking up to 900DPS. This ret pally tries to tell the group they're doing the fight wrong... my friend just told him he was doing everything wrong and left the group at that point.
But seriously, the guy has *no* business being in Heroic anything, much less ToC.
So I feel I should provide an update on this. I ran with this guy Character last night in H ToC, he has been gearing up fast and in less than a week is pretty decent. I had some misgivings about the group, too many casters, though it turned out they didn't need the spell power weapons anyway (I got my Shaman the Mace in the run), and that guy Character. All I said about that was that my friend had run with him on Sunday and he was terrible, I hoped he'd improved greatly since then.
The guy pulled 2.5k DPS on single target Eadric, so I've gotta give him credit, he has greatly improved. I had to apologize for being a dick but eh, that's fine.
Wow, this is pretty shitty. Friend of mine send me a message, which said:
So blizzard released an update to the mobile authenticator app for iPhone.. which removed ALL settings! Woot! I've even restored from a backup and still cant get into my account! They've basically said "tough shit, wait until monday".
Thanks blizzard. I had no plans to play wow on my days off.. Yes it is completely safe to release software updates at 5pm on Friday. ... dumbasses.
End on
I wish that someway, somehow, that I could save every one of us

Preeeettty sure that when I was playing RO, and don't get me started on the time invested in that game - the official servers exp rates were down right shit terrible. Thank you for your wild assumption that at the time, had no idea how to play the game.
And as far as the AH being the singular source for finding items, it works if you're lazy. It really does. Click. Search. Buy. Tada. Some however, enjoy the hunt for the best priced items, and you would find (as you do in RO) that when you stumble upon a fantastic deal sitting somewhere in the middle of nowhere, that it really makes your day and adds to the experience.
Doesn't really matter I guess though, since you can obtain hundreds of thousands of Gold with a few pennies from these gold sellers. The econ is fucked up its ass anyway.
You can still find better bargains than the AH by looking for the crafter who can make it. Most of the time I cut people a price break for coming to me directly.

Iphone app authenticator is so secure, you can't even get into your own account! That sucks though.

Ran into two separate tanks in two days who couldn't hold aggro on a single target, much less multiple ones. Augh. Looks like I'm never gonna get that tank trinket out of reg ToC.
being a competent tank is pretty satisfying. everyone will be all like, "wow you're so good!" and I'm all "yeah baby, I know how to play my class. for reals"
I'm always a bit annoyed by full epic tanks who can't hold aggro against my warlock, who is wearing a mix of beginner level 80 blues/purples and level 70 epix

Its forgivable for an equally geared tank, warlocks do generate a retarded amount of aggro, with only one dump on a 3 min cooldown, but for that big of a gear difference is just sad.
Warrior (and probably bear) tanks have trouble generating rage if they're not getting hit as much. If a warrior can get enough rage to get going, they can/probably should chain pull with wild abandon, but if its the beginning of a pull, they'll have less to work with.
Personally, I always suggest that our warrior tank takes off his pants in heroics whenever he complains about rage.

They do have vigilance though - I miss it so when we don't have a warrior tank in the raid.

On that note, how does the new Shield Spec (20%/point chance to gain 5 rage on dodge/parry/block) work out?
Probably wonderfully for any encounters where hits come reasonably quickly, but I've heard tanks in our Warrior thread say it isn't enough to make a difference on fights like Hodir.
So I played wow on and off for about 2 years, then played for a month with my wife last year. I tried relogging into my account on the website to resubscribe last night, but my password isnt working. I dont use a lot of different passwords, but none of them are working. Also, none of my emails ive ever used are working for the password retreival. My wifes account can be logged into fine. My questions are 2 in number.
1) How likely is my account stolen?
2) If I call blizzard on monday, and I have the CD key from my game, and account name, how likely are they to be able to help me out?

I'll need my share split between nonconsecutive bills and overseas accounts.
Tell them I said Hi!
... wait, sorry, no, make that "fuck you"!
Then I cancelled my account with the message "Until additional instances can be launched, additional monthly payments cannot be made."
They still haven't fixed that in Europe? I thought my server was the last one. Good on you, it's gone on way too long.
