The Defending against the Dark Iron event is futile, the Dark Iron don't appear on the screen half the time, and the other half you either can't pick up the complimentary brews OR the brewfest guys won't throw one to you. It's an automatic fail each time.

At least I was able to do the ram relay, apparently most people today couldn't even attempt it.

Brewfest is fine on my server, but Icecrown jousting is screwed. When you challenge an NPC they never go hostile, just run out, spout the "You lose" speech and despawn.

Yeah, I tried the keg runs today. Lost a good 40 seconds just waiting for the mount to appear underneath me (same happened with the barker quest, that was fun) and another twenty seconds or so to my ram being exhausted despite running INTO the goddamned apple barrels. Whee!

10 tries for me and haven't seen either.

Some idiot (err...I mean, friendly seller) put the Tankard o'Terror on the AH for 50g though (while every other one was 3000-5000g), so I at least have that now. Still debating on actually equipping it, or selling it after Brewfest ends.

Also, wiping on Onyxia for the first time in forever is both interesting and frustrating.

It's enough to lag me, especially when the yellow numbers come up from AOE.

The many whelps achievement is going to be crazy... is that 50 total right after she lifts off or 50 in addition to the zerg that already spawns?

The amount of whelps was shocking to me and caused our first and last wipes.

My warlock hit 105k damage ticks with rain of fire on the whelp group that spawned in 25 man (I dont *think* anyone pulled extra) and two of our guildies disconnected from the spam - fortunately they logged back on before the next deep breath.

Now this is funny. My explanation was pretty much this, with a few 'More Dots' references for the 25 man guild/pug run. I did have to yell a few times for people to run away from the adds blast wave, but overall they were pretty good about the standard dragon mechanics.

I had just so many bunches of fun positioning onyxia in phase 3.

Since a guardian spawned right as she landed, one of our feral druids went bear and grabbed the add off me so I could focus on onyxia. Since he was tanking the add in the middle (along with the whelps that decided to suddenly spawn) I couldn't tank Onyxia where I normally do, that would lead to hilarious tailswipes.

I had to turn her sideways.

But I couldn't keep her like that, since she could easily fear me into the raid and then olol cleave fire cleave. So after the adds were dead I moved her back where she had been in phase 1.

And then she tailswiped as I did it.

    Whoooooeeeeelllllppppppsssss

The raid will reset with maintenance as with most raids. The hotfix should apply retroactively so that those who have killed Onyxia today and are seeing the reset time listed for tomorrow will notice their timers change, but I can't confirm this with certainty yet.

Heheh. I was kinda confused myself. People need an explanation for Onyxia? It was like "Oh and she tail swipes. And cleaves." Of course she does, she's a dragon! She's the dragon that taught every raider that dragons tail swipe and cleave!

Monday night, on a lark, me and a friend did Onyxia so that he could get the achievement before the patch hit.

Next day, what do you know.

Did Ony 10 and 25, got the Judgement Helm (because I rolled uncontested) and enough Triumph emblems to get some spiffy new shoulders.

    Still no ram.

Only got to try Onyxia twice last night. We wiped both times. I weep for my guild.

Though, to be fair, the ammount of whelp spawns surprised all of us who had done it before and there were about 5 people who had never even seen Ony before last night. Ever.

I'm aware of this. Didn't stop us from failing through phase 2 both times. Our tank coordination was retarded (mainly because our one tank -always- goes off vent completely from about 9pm-10/10:30 to talk to his woman so we can never get him to do what we need him to do if/when shit hits the fan). So after both of them picking up whelps groups, the not-onvent tank would proceed to grab the warder while still having a full pack of whelps on him and promptly die, while the other tank had had his whelppack wiped out.

Whhheeeee, all this makes me glad I dropped my DK and went back to my Rogue.

Finally saw the Kodo drop today, after doing it 6-10 times every day since it started. Lost the roll. D:

Did get a remote, a tankard of terror, and both of the +170 stamina trinkets that summon Brewmaidens.

Been a productive Brewfest, I just need to get enough tokens now to buy the Brewfest regalia, dance while smashed in Dalaran, refund it, and get the Brew of the Month, romance goggles, and hops, and the Brewmaster title will be mine.

So far from coren I have gotten both spell trinkets (using the egg, not the damage one, sadly enough) and I got the Light Brewmaiden. I want to get the dark brewmaiden (For disc and shadow specs, respectively)

and the kodo. But EVERY alliance character wants the kodo.

But I had it ninjad from me last year....by a guildie. (We kicked him about a week later for general cock-baggery)

The tankards probably would have stayed in the guild (these were all guild runs) in our case.

I'm still pissed that they changed the mounts from "grind" to "lollowdroprate"

That's the dumbest thing about the event. Oh well, at least you have the opportunity (infinitesimal though they may be) to get both mounts instead of just the ram, though I'd bet, given the choice, more people would choose to grind for just the ram.
