I've observed that everytime a DR spy has been destroying a team it's because no one fucking understands that it's a DR spy. You could scream DEAD RINGER every second of the game and some people will just go "Hey that spy sure did die from one pistol bullet yep derp derp" and then 6 fucking people get backstabbed
No, it's that you either have to spend ages following him until he's finally, really dead, or you let him go and have to split your attention between the front and the back, or you let him go and you get backstabbed later.

All it did was prevent ignition, i.e. no uncloaking or disguise ruining. Much more sensible than the one that's just -85% fire damage or something. I might actually use the invisibility watches again sometimes if they add this.

I think the DR only reducing damage on the initial attack, but not protecting the spy while he's running around cloaked would be better. That, or the damage reduction is based on how much cloak he has left. So with 50% cloak, he's taking 50% damage. When the cloak is nearly empty, he's basically taking full damage.
I don't know. DR needs something where it's still usable by the spies, but not as retarded for the other team as it is now.

C&D is useful when used properly but it's more fun to be a bad spy. There should be a server mod that lets you teamchat as the person you're disguised as.

A spy is barely any help if they keep on dying which is where the watch comes in. The watch is only there for getting you in, making the kill, then bridging you to your next one. If you're just sitting there waiting for some medic to rub his ass on your knife then yes the CnD makes you a bad spy, but as long as you're not dying after every single kill it doesn't matter what watch you use.

True, but the C&D's playstyle forces you to focus on more standing still and waiting, removing the speed and mobility which makes one an effective and deadly spy
You can be an alright spy with the C&D, but that's like saying you can be an alright heavy with natascha as long as the stars are aligned in your favor
Eh, I play Cloak and Dagger spy and do pretty well for myself.
Not having to worry about the timer running out is very useful, but if you're just going to hang around for the perfect moment, it's not going to happen.

The quick-wrench just sounds lame. 150% build rate is NOT a proper tradeoff for removing the upgrade ability.

Losing the revolver is a shitty tradeoff for a DR spy though, and fire isn't even that big a deal with the DR.
