I got my 48-hour madness email today, and I guess gogamer is having a super special labor day one. Lots of games for $1, $2, or $3.90, and some for a penny!

Some highlights:
Prey: $1
Just Cause: $1
Mercenaries 2: $3.90
Lord of the Rings Online (no expansion): $1
Prince of Persia: $2.90
(all for PC)

I'm considering some of those. The 1 cent games are admittedly nothing great (Shadowrun and some game called Maelstrom, never heard of it)

    Also, Jade Empire for $2! That's a game anyone who like RPGs should try for 2 bucks.

    And it isn't 48 hours, it's basically the whole labor day weekend. So no rush.

    Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 is probably worth $2.90 of anyone's money.
    Prey is worth $1 for the opening half hour.

    I know a lot of people here were interested in Operation Darkness, but then shied away when the reviews were not great. It's the WW2/Zombie strategy game from Atlus, and it's $5.90.

    Painkiller Black is the original game, the Battle Out of Hell expansion, a limited edition Penny Arcade poster and a making-of movie. $3.90.

    I'm tempted to get, like, 20 copies of Party Babyz and burn them. Or trade them in at Gamecrazy, they've got to be worth more than a buck there.

    It's sad because there's nothing on that list that I don't already own that I want. Including Prince of Persia. It was terrible the few hours I played it on the PS3 and I wouldn't pay $2.90 for it.

    Prey definitely worth a dollar imo. Great game, but the stupid part is you can't die.

    That's why it was so boring and terrible. I like to play platformers, not watch as the game plays itself. Also pushing a button every 5 seconds to listen to characters I don't care about talk is pretty lame.

    PREY. I also have Prince of Persia, and in that game it is also dumb that you cannot die. At least the sands of time were a limited mechanic.

    Gogamer is a great site. Every couple days they do "48 hour madness" and will have great deals. I got Lotro for 5 bucks a while back. I got Vampire The Masquerade:Bloodlines for 10 bucks as well. Its a great site to keep an eye on.

    You can subscribe to the Madness mail which will email you all their deals. It's super hand and I've gotten several games from it. Even new games will get decent discounts sometimes.
