Don't be too quick to judge. Someone may have found an unattended to notebook, and decided to turn it in to the appropriate person in that situation. Maybe the nearest authority, or the train people. Who knows.
For what it's worth, if I was the one that found it and was excited to tell you who I turned it in to... reading your post would make me think twice and just trash the thing.

If they were going to turn it in, they sure took their sweet time. He checked with the train staff, and with most everyone on the train.
I lost two DS game cases stuffed with all my DS games in the beanbag area. Walked back an hour later and found someone had turned them into the lost and found. Thank you to whoever that was.
I managed to misplace my paperback copies of the bacchae, the phaedrus and the greek achievement. I'm 99% sure i left them on the tables outside of byoc. message me if you found them please.
No luck on mah books, eh? Can't say I'm terribly surprised, but hopefully someone is reading them and getting edified at least. :P Classic Literature FTW!

next time i'd suggest he not leave a fucking laptop out where someone could take it. shit people think for 3 seconds. further more if anyone happens to have come across the connecting wire from a razor mouse (its wireless but you can use it as a regular mouse with the cable) i'd love to know. it must have fallen out before i won the mouse at the demigod tourny
I lost a black argyle sweater yesterday. it is button down, Old Navy brand, the diamond pattern is white and grey. I would really like it back if anyone has found it. Thanks!
Hate to say it, but I saw a sweater like that on the sidewalk across the way from the convention center on the 4th. I'm sorry, but I didn't pick it up since I didn't really know where it came from and I was headed in the opposite direction.

Yeah, thanks for that. We didn't have the power supplies going hom that we had on the way up because we had sleeper cars full of sick people who had handled all of that. A number of us gravitated to the Arcade car. There were some of our group in and out all of the time, and it was that one second that it was vacant that it disappeared. If it hadn't been my laptop, it could have been any number of bags that were left in the car because the train was 100% full and they had storage space issues.
This would be a great opportunity to insult you and suggest that you pay better attention to your stuff in the future, but I"m not going there. You shouldn't have.
lol @ insulting someone for losing something and telling them "to think for 3 seconds" and then noting that they lost something too. some of you need to get some fresh air.
Really, on behalf of everyone here who hates the dickish behavior: I'm sorry for everyone who's had the unfortunate experience of losing something -- but it happens and it's lame, no matter how it came to be. Just be conscious of the humanity of the situation and try to be helpful or just do your own thing. Unhelpful criticism only serves to upset and trolling is weaksauce even at the best of times.
long story short, lost my RIOT (league of legends ultimate swag), the code for the cardmaster skin..if anyone can hook me up that would be.. phenomenal. I had a blast though

To the 2 metalheads that found my phone Friday (Or was it Saturday) outside on the second floor, Thank you again! I made sure to point you two out to my wife, and every time me and my son saw you, he made sure to point you out!
Hey, lost one of those little black backpacks they were giving out, the ones with the strings? Inside was my DS and my camera, as well as a grue that I killed with extreme sarcasm then stuffed.

Heyo, I appear to have lost my DSi at PAX. I'm going to guess it was at the first SWTOR demo in the main theatre as my laptop bag has a very sneaky pocket with a zipper which is right next to a pocket that...has no bottom. So, it was one of those baby blue DSi's with an Acekard in it. If you turn the DSi on it has Mighty Flip Champs downloaded onto it, as well as the Acekard will show up as 'Dave Phantom' or something like that. It has the word phantom in it anyway.
I'm not holding out much hope for it, but maybe i'll luck out.
Just to give a heads up, I seem to have caught some illness or another so I'm a little slow to catch up on lost and found stuff. I expect to be able to start mailing stuff out on Monday.
We've got quite a bit of stuff, so if you're missing something definitely post or shoot me an email with as much detail as possible.
I seem to have misplaced my Olympus Recorder/Microphone -although I am still hopeful it will turn up as I resort through everything from Pax.
It's an Olympus LS-10 recorder, in its black case, with its 'micky mouse ear' microphones on the speakers. There are lots of recordings in it (music, sermons, PAX), and its batteries are basically dead which is why I stopped using it. (It said it had 11 hours recording time left, so I didn't bring spares! I forgot that meant memory, not batteries..)

I know it is kind of a long shot, but I seem to have lost the USB cable for my Archos player. It has the words Archos printed on it. I have been tearing my place apart for the last week before I realized I might have lost it in the Handheld Sumo Lounge.
Also probably a long shot at this point (Somehow missed this thread til now) but I lost a Panasonic digital camera on Monday morning (the 7th), either in the lobby of the Grand Hyatt or nearby. I'm pretty sure I know where I left it, but it wasn't there 10 mins later when I realized I forgot it. I've already reported it to the hotel, but nobody turned it into them.
I bet this would be impossible to find, but I lost a swag bag on the Friday, which had some extra stuff I won from Assassins. It had a 1up mushroom, a Bullet Bill and a Shield from The Legend of Zelda in it. It would have been in the console freeplay room, but I am no longer sure.
I lost my NintendoDS charger sometime saturday. I checked with the enforcers sunday and they hadn't gotten one turned in but hey I might as well post, right?
Hi everybody it totally sucks so many of us lost stuff.
Its probably wishful thinking at this point, but I lost my Nikon coolpix L100 at some point on Friday sept 4th not 100% sure it happened in the convention center If anyone found one please let me know. The pictures on it are mainly from the flight in to Seattle. If anything I'd like to get the pictures. I did check with lost and found fairly regularly but if it did get turned in at the end of the convention please let men know.
Thanks

I'm de-stickying this thread to make room for PAX East shenanigans, but will be leaving it open for now. Hopefully you all locate your lost articles.

I know Qs23 was looking for his black Waldo cosplay glasses early on in the convention. No clue if he ever found them.
