Files dont show up in iTunes?

Ok, so I was trying to burn a couple CDs this morning but this one set of files just doesnt show up in iTunes. Its a folder of mp3's, theres nothing different about them as far as I can tell (well, other than them being different songs), but when I copy them into the playlist only two copy over. Ive tried copying the files individually but only those same two files will show up. Otherwise its like I dropped nothing into the window.
They're working files, Ive listened to them. I know iTunes is working because I just burned another CD. I have no idea whats up and Ive never had this problem before. Anyone got any ideas?
Im using iTunes 7 on Windows 2000 (which is the latest version I can use I believe).
