i have a 2000 series psp, a tv cable for it and a hitachi L32HP03U, which due to its newness i'm sure must have progressive scan. despite all this whilst i can get the psp menu onto the TV as soon as i select game it gives me the 'your tv and cable must support progressive scan' message. am i missing a setting on the TV? the psp? do i have some kind of cable with only half functionality?
failing that is there anyway to run it through a pc, then back into a TV without a firmware hack?

if the latter, your tv probably doesn't do "EDTV" which is progressive scan on SD sources, upgrading to the HD cables should resolve the issue.
