IIRC, it birthed the split/dual forums that only ended recently (?). My memory is somewhat hazy.

All I really remember is the thread itself, the massive downtime after, and then word coming down from on high.

Killed off. There was some debate about them in the suggestions thread in Monkey's Den recently, IIRC. They were pretty unnecessary in any case.

Well, before pheezer there was a couple of H/A mods with the handels Artifblue(sp?) and Henroid.

Pheezer gained a fair bit of notoriety in the mod circles when Henroid decided that he needed a banning for doing just about nothing wrong. Henroid got over ruled, and after his craptacular mod ablities(mind who this is coming from) became common knowlage, he was kinda driven out of moddom.

Pheezer was chosen to fill the void, cause he seemed pretty stable and helpful. I think.

Yes! It is my PA MSN Chat buddy. That was totally her. I chased hobokenbob away from the internets for like a year with what I had amasseda bout them.

Nothing fucks ups a game of NWN like a fucking dwarf freak and psychotic effeminate warrior screaming at each other all the time.

Oh my god. I just realized it.

Guys, who remembers AHardyBoy? I have chatlogs of him playing therapist to hobokenbob about the Allie_Gamer thing...and AHardyBoy used that money to fly out and see uh Halofyre, I believe.

I shall now list the best Penny-Arcade Tetrinetters.

    Me.
cuddlywuddly very close. But she always started the games when you weren't ready to get a jump. Somehow I don't think our records would have been identical were it not for this cheapness.

SlayerCait - I have no idea who taught her but she was good and played it a lot. I had a 1 yr hiatus from Tetrinet, came back, and played a match with her and she dropped me like 60-40. I was shocked. I don't think she can hang with me if I'd bothered to work off the flab and rust first, but man, she totally cold cocked me.

Kara- Gabe's wife. She's only on here because she was really sweet. I liked her. Also, she enjoyed Scorched Earth. It was tough playing her in such games because it was you vs her and everybody else that was worshipping her and Gabe from afar. It was cool. I'm sorry lacking_wang ruined the forums for her. I do miss those PA MSN Chat days.

Guys, who wants to talk about lunacrow? Only forumer that I know of that actually made me tear up a bit. She was the biggest fucking vegan goth, britfag dating cunt I have ever met. My god. I would give her such a hug right now.

I joined in the M2 days, right when Nads 4 Mod was first becoming a popular saying. Ahh, those were the days. Then Nads went missing, becoming a legend, and then his triumphant return.... and then not much after that. I think he was wierded out by how much attention he got.

Anyone else remember that thread where some guy posted detailed instructions and pictures on how to break into this house? That was a good time. And the original "caught by mom" thread, fuck that was funny.

Then the EZ boards, and the TTB stuff (which to my amazement is still up and running). It all pretty much went downhill from there.

When were your favourite times on the PA forums?

I joined about a year ago once, but school and just moving on to uni made me forget about PA pretty much all together. Plus, i think i made a thread about the best console out of the big 3 in G&T and the fuckers went flame-crazy. (i only ended up posting about 6 times)

EDIT: I think I may have even been temp-banned for it, so I started fresh a couple of months ago.

i think it has been all downhill since the pit of hate closed. the new people have no idea what it used to be like when you had to earn the respect of your fellow posters, unlike now when everyone is supposed to just get along and be buddy buddy all the time.

i almost want to say my favorite times were the ezboards though. alot of funny stuff happened there, and that was kind of when i actually became known to people. my rise to power. plus it felt like we were keeping the spirit of the PA forums alive while the man tried to hold us down.

That's probably how i come off aswell, i don't mind though, i get some broad-minded opinions here and enjoy the general banter. I'll join in every now and again, even if there's little notice being taken. i have my moments and i guess i'm only a casual poster. I go on vent every now and again, and it seems as though a large group within the community socialises there, which i think is pretty cool.

Re Loser: I don't think it's that easy to be accepted here actually. there still seems to be a close group of forumers who slightly segregate themselves and value eachothers opinions much more. it keeps things good though, because it means that people don't go too out of line as they want to earn this groups respect.

As I remember, join dates in G&T were disabled specifically because of the Bungie Weekly Update post.

Have we talked about that yet?

Back before Halo 2 was being released, the frontman for Bungie was going around to different gaming message boards, and posting stuff about Halo, little previews, that sort of thing. He came here and did it, with no prior warning. G&T was immediately flooded with ten trillion people posting things along the lines of "halp is awesome lols".

Tube then banned Bungie's guy for spam. Chaos ensued.

    More later; gotta run.
