Oh, I like Benny and his Total Recallness. I just can't get through that section without getting hit by lasers or missiles... and I want to 200/200 this game.
Last level spoilers too:
Ringtone the 2nd is better than the first one. "BahhhhhhhhhBOOM goes my ringtone, BA-BOOM goes my phone!"
That's the ringtone I put in the OP!

If the checkpoint and health system was improved (the former being more frequent and the latter being restored upon hitting a checkpoint, even a certain amount) then I would be content with the gameplay. Can't wait until I see the ending.
I didn't realize this until last night when I was trying one of the challenges: If you use a Help Me, it restores your health to full. I think it's the only way you can regain health.
It's really weird that a game like this exists without any sort of health pickup. And I hated using Help Mes, that's just $4250 down the drain.
If anyone is new to the developer like I was and wants to try their older games because they liked Comic jumper I fully endorse splosion man. I bought it as soon as I finished Comic jumper and it is awesome. Plan to pick up the maw too when I finish splosion.
But when you go to the arcade machines in the base and they're showing off a preview gameplay reel beforehand, the stuff for The Maw looks really impressive
As for Comic Jumper, I may eventually pick it up if it goes down in price, but it doesn't feel like a must have for me (which really surprised me). I'll definitely still give Twisted Pixel's next game a chance regardless.
The Maw is more low-key, less "hardcore" than Splosion Man or Comic Jumper, but it's still a magical experience. It's a Pixar movie come to life on the screen.
'Splosion Man is great but I've been stuck on level 2-9 forever
Its where the floor is a spike wall thing and its coming up at you... I can get past the first section no problem, but I can't seem to jump fast enough on the second section.

It's usually your timing/positioning of a barrel somewhere that gets you. That said, take the way of the coward and skip it if need be.
My lord that was an amazing game. Pure distilled game goodness. So far from Comic Jumper in that respect.

Oh, nice find. I'll probably do some challenges and upgrade Smiley more, but if I'm still getting my ass kicked on the first Manga segment, I'll get some 'Help Me' powerups just in case.

Comic Jumper basically boils down to this for me so far:
+ Story/humor is top notch
+ Bosses are the best part of the actual gameplay, the T-Rex and Drill were a blast to fight. The bosses remind me of Gunstar Heroes a whole bunch.
- Every other aspect of the gameplay is either uninispired or downright boring.
- For some reason my game constantly gets stuck going left. If I press left, he'll keep going whether I'm pressing the stick or not.
Brainiac: Your stick is messed up like mine is. This is because the stick on 360 controllers suck massive amounts of cock. My last one had this problem that I noticed during Mass Effect 2, I replaced it and a month later my new one had the same problem.
I am waiting on the Tron controller since it looks awesome and is not made by Microsoft so maybe it won't chug dick

Well that sucks. I only have the one controller gall dernnit. :x
I'll have to look up the Tron controller and see how I like it.
Geez, I was wrong to ignore this. The first video I saw looked stupid. I wanted to dickpunch Captain Smiley, and it looked like just a bunch of punching dudes. But the real thing is a Moar Dakkafest.
I still hate Captain Smiley, because he's basically Owen Wilson.
Mine goes to the left too... so its everyone and not just me ? I always just thought I was too rough on it.
Play Mass Effect 2, press left on your stick and see if Shepard doesn't sometimes keep going left on his own
Another good way to test it is to boot up Braid if you own it, go to one of the walls where you have to put a puzzle together, press left and see if the cursor keeps moving
Also a bunch of games with map screens where you can move a cursor around
This makes me curious if the controllers are capable of transmitting any information that makes them uniquely identifiable, and would allow us to have a per controller dead zone setting.

Huh, after a few days off from the game I've found the Manga segments much easier, only died a few times. Loved the message you get at the end of the first comic.
The control stick thing seems to be a problem on wireless controllers. I've had about three different wireless controllers and they all eventually get this problem. I've never had it happen on a wired controller though, so I prefer those because it gets annoying.
Also... you can skip Splosion Man levels?! Hot damn, maybe I'll finally beat the game!

If you die too much it will offer this to you. You will spend the next level wearing a pink tutu, but he's Splosion Man. Self-consciousness is not a thing with him.
Also, the laser backgrounds? I was on one once. It's called Odyssey and it costs extra.

Finished the game. Ending wasn't quite up there with Splosion Man's, but it was still funny.
i just bought this and beat the first stage. Man, the gameplay was boring and it just went on and on and on, but that whole sequence at the end was totally worth it. I wish these guys would just cowboy up and make an adventure game.

Man playing splosion man is great. Almost done with the cakes in single player but I guess I will never get the multi ones. Also did you guys read the concept art for pling pling? "We want to make a game with only pling pling in it . It will be the greatest game ever we promise." =/

So unless I'm blind, the song for the final level isn't available to unlock.
After you've bought all the gameplay songs it's just unrelated songs which I think only play on the base's radio.
Finished. Reading through all the unlockables, they've been too honest about the stuff they ran out of time for and I'm just sadder for what might have been.
Final Level Spoiler that really shows how they rushed this out at the end:
The final boss (not counting the Brad-Copter repeat) was stolen exactly from Splosion Man for Christs sake! That was weak.
I have been trying to do it for what seems like forever
Silver Age?
Are you making use of the ladders on the side and remembering to slide from certain attacks? Because once I did that it wasn't an issue. Which attacks are causing you strife?
@Jam Warrior: It's up for interpretation, but I thought that was pretty funny. The game definatly had time/money constraints, though.
I'm using the ladders, the main problem seems to be his attack where he chomps down starting from the top to the bottom. I can't get out of the way in time to avoid it. The massive damage one (where he destroys his own body slamming the wall) is causing me grief too.
e: Figured out you can climb the banner on top and now I'm fine.

Oh man, it is so worth it to find a buddy to play multiplayer with. Just make sure it's someone that you will have the opportunity to physically punch at some point to make up for all the times he's going to kill you.
This just brings to the forefront of my mind how many times I've wanted to do an XBLA night for G&T or something where people can find people who want to play the same random arcade games as them and do it

Oh, damn. Well thanks for the heads up, I probably would have had a stroke if I managed to fulfill the cheevo requirements and then it didn't pop.
Also, how do I make that ringtone in the OP mine, exactly?

Also I always thought it was $15, not $10

Wired, which is a dealbreaker for a lot of people. I prefer wired, actually. I keep my 360 and PS3 controllers wired at all times.
But it lights up!

As for the second Manga comic:
was one of the hardest segments in the game for me.
Also... you can skip Splosion Man levels?! Hot damn, maybe I'll finally beat the game!

Now to go through any unlockables I've missed.
Captain Smiley #00 is fantastic though. I agree that the actual ending wasn't the best.
The opening always gets me though. The look on Keith from Keith's comics face when he rips up the comic is hilarious for some reason.
Also, that TRON controller looks awesome.
Oh yeah, this is my line of thinking.
