I actually tried the Splosion Man multi with a friend, but this was before the patch (which took forever to be certified, cheers MS) so even though he was in the same city the lag made it unplayable.
I really want to do the multi though, which is why T4CT's idea sounds cool.
I will highly consider trying to start one of those up then if people are actually interested. Unlike Castle Crashers, Splosion Man multiplayer is almost always playable in terms of latency.
I also approve of the idea of a twisted pixel thread because I might finally buy The Maw.
Updated the OP with the other 2 Twisted Pixel games. I plan on getting a lot more in depth and setting up gamertag lists for those who want co-op once I get another break at work.

why are you guys so negative? this game is not a copy of Splosion Man... so what you guys are trying to say is that if a basketball game is made on the iPhone... no other company can make basketball games?
this game is a pretty fun game try it out before you mock it.

Bizarre orange creature in lab-like structure that uses explosions to jump =/= basketball.
I was all set to defend that until I watched the video
Because, I mean, Explodemon is coming out for PSN, and I was seeing videos and stuff for that before I knew Splosion Man even existed; they're just taking their sweet-ass time with it (and it looks awesome).
But that's pretty bad. Still, I won't begrudge them too much; I would simply prefer to think that Twisted Pixel has created a new genre, and much like happened with Doom, gaming will see "Splosion-clones" for a few years before a rightful moniker is bestowed upon it: third-person sploding.
Ripping off gameplay is standard fare for the app store, but to see such a big company blatantly rip off characters and setting at the same time is kind of hard to swallow.
Especially as apparently TP pitched Splosion Man on 360 to Capcom to publish and they turned it down :P

haha I sent Matt "Chainsaw" Cheney, the guy who works for Twisted Pixel and does that song, a message on twitter saying that the best part of MaXplosion is when Mike "Dremel" Chauncey sings "Some People Like Bagels".
Also everyone is SUPER excited for the totally coincidental release of MaXENEsplosion, a week after Ms. Splosion Man.

Next time these guys make a game, they should try ripping off the fun part. At the very least, it looks like they don't understand what made 'Splosion Man fun.

Also Im all about any Splosion Man co-op. Ive beaten it and 200/200 the game, but I cant get enough.
Also Im yet to try the bonus co-op level from Comic Jumper.
Also, I agree with the general consensus that this game is a bit of a step back in terms of gameplay, but makes up for it on presentation.

Sorry TP, I don't love you enough to spend over $200 to play your next game, but it looks cool, who doesn't like gun twirling?
Seeing the character revisions near the start is a nice touch.
Looking forwared to seeing what classy little devs like TP do with Kinect, XBLA could be perfect for the device.
I have to work on the Gunstringer section, without Kinect Ive kind of let a lot of info slip by.
The new Ms. Splosion Man hands on looks AWESOME.
