Will this be the horrible grind-fest XI was?

    A. Probably

    True.
I'm sure they decided to change NOTHING after their experience with having an MMO for 7 years.
    Don't be dumb.

I loved pulling mobs as a bard. Did it really well in Sky, where I'd pull the next weapon and sleep his ass next the one that was about die. Reapply songs and then go grab the next one. If your party had the area to itself and everyone knew what they were doing you could clear both rooms just in time for the first weapon to be respawning.

I got really good at it on my RDM as well.
Especially when we would be dancing between 4-5 mobs with a BRD as well. Swapping mobs to sleep and lullaby them.

That was definitely a test of skill, especially knowing screwing up could result in the whole party wiping :P

I have always wanted to play an MMO

    This may be my first.

Also, my love affair with final fantasy started years and years ago when my dad bought final fantasy VII for my mom because she had just beaten the sherlock holmes game on the 3D0 and the guy at the store told him it was "like a detective game"!

I was 72 or 73 the first time I was asked to pull. I was with a japanese group and they were like "you pull ok?" After an initial D: reaction, I found I was good at it and it worked fantastically.

Three times, with two different connections.

They should really just have made a torrent instead.

One time it was just missing a 900mb file. What kind of a shitty downloader is that?
First mmo I've tried that I've had similar troubles with.

That works when the party is built for it. Whenever I was asked to pull on rdm it was with some retarded group that had a terrible tank and no other healers, why was I pulling? Because the melee DD didn't have a ranged weapon. Anyway my reaction is always something like "hope you don't like haste or refresh".

Or they don't want to give credence to a transfer protocol that is frequently used for downloading illegal media.

My linkshell had a ridiculous tanking elvaan mnk with maxed out counter str merits and all the best gear. This one time in limbus someone got charmed and started hitting him, he killed them with 3 counters in like 10 seconds.
