I guess I should post my E3 2009 impressions here.
Biggest Impression: Castlevania: Lords of Shadow - It's another stab at making the transition to 3D, but mostly the voice actors involved as well as Kojima make it seem like they're going as all out as possible. Expectations Most Met: Modern Warfare 2 - I actually caught the footage of this on accident, but it was exactly what I expected it to be more or less. It's a series I've been wanting to sample and I'll be sure to play the first before the second hits. Most Skeptical: Metroid: The Other M - Trying to figure out the gameplay angle is making me worried. Also, the art design looks more... cartoony? Maybe even a bit slapstickish? This is pertaining to the gameplay shots mind you. Biggest Disappointment: Star Wars: The Old Republic - The trailer was awesome, and we may have received written impressions on gameplay but no footage really bites. The Big Loser: Ubisoft - First and foremost, their presentation was awful and the awkward Joel McHale / Portuguese guy moment when footage wouldn't play didn't help. Sure they have Splinter Cell, TMNT, and AC2, which all count for something at least, but they were generally behind all other contenders at E3 this year. The Big Winner: It's mostly a tie. All companies have found their comfort zones this gen and we're riding that course right now.
For whatever reason that, coupled with the "So Link lost his Master Sword?" comment from the interview makes me think that she is the Master Sword.
Hardly the first time an item is a person-ish type thing. Probably way off, but the color scheme is part of it.
Didn't we all go over this before Twilight Princess was released where a lot of people thought Midna was the Master Sword or some other item and it turned out she wasn't?
Except, Midna doesn't look anything like the Master Sword and the picture in question right now has him holding only his shield. I think we have a bit more of a foot-hold on the idea this time around.

Well that's just silly.
This, on the other hand, is almost blatantly obvious.
Even the way her legs are bent is similar to the shape of the Master Sword.

I really don't know. I haven't followed anything about Twilight Princess at all. But it's pretty close.
Maybe they just need to stop making characters look like they can be the Master Sword. Even though I don't think Midna looked anything like it.
Me too. That's been my favorite so far in the series, although I never finished it. I actually haven't finished any Zelda game, though I've played quite a few.
Same here, or at least a style similar. It would be neat if they kept the painterly style of the promo/concept pic in-game ala Okami and/or Valkyria chronicles to an extent.
I will also subscribe to the crackpot "she's the sword" theory.
The lawsuit is unlikely a surprise for EA and Double Fine, as Activision expressed its unhappiness with the game being handed over to its biggest competitor earlier this year. EA's response to Activision's legal threats called them as ridiculous as "a husband abandoning his family and then suing after his wife meets a better looking guy."
I'd love if the Wii Zelda has Prince of Persia's visual aesthetic. You know, 'grown-up' looking cel-shading. Or even better, retain the cool pastel-ish look of the concept art.
Isn't that one of those goddesses that created the Triforce?
The early theory I've seen floating around is this:
New image:
Here's the queen of the fairies from WW:
Back to the newest image, notice her outfit (the long arm sleeves and the jewel) and remember Shiggy specifically pointed out that Link doesn't have a sword.

All right, people. It is not a gerbil. It is not a hamster. It is not a guinea pig. It is a death rabbit. Death. Rabbit. Say it with me, now.
They should have continuted with the guns. That was great.

As an Italian, I laughed my ass off. Down with those turrrrrible stereotypes!

Wait... Is that a promotional pic of something, or just some artist's idea of ICO à la Zelda?
'Cause if so, my heart is shattered.
EDIT
You mean the Queen of Fairies?
Or a younger version of the
Midna.

EDIT: I see I'm not the only one thinknig that.
Crazy speculation ahoy.
I just want to...bask in its new Zelda-y glow. Bask, and be reborn.
He's not holding one, which is a big hint, and the way her top half is shaped/the gem placement/the colors chosen, yeah.
C'mon, it's fairly reasonable after the whole King of Red Lions thing.
goddamit beat'd
hard

Oh great, I was expecting it just to be the title and Link and they had to go ahead and have a hint at there already being some plot device in place.
Not on a handheld.
EDIT: For carrying...not enemies.
