I think it was Joe Mad.

It also comes with crossbow pistols! How sweet is that?

    (it is terrible)

Looking through his website, I'd like to go ahead and say that he's in my top 10 most hated comic artists.

his tastes in music seem to go along with his sense of visual aesthetics:
    Name: Joe Madureira (Mad-uh-rare-uh)
    Birth: December 3, 1974

School: High School of Art and Design in New York

Music: Eminem, Limp Bizkit, dr. Dre., Yanni, Chrono Cross soundtrack, Suikoden soundtrack, Iron Maiden, Blind Guardian, Gladiator soundtrack, Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Blumchen, The Smiths, the Pixies, NOFX, MXPX, Guttermouth, Rhapsody.

I knew Yanni had some sort of audience, but I wouldn't have guessed that that audience was weeaboos.

August of 2005 was when he was announced for Ultimates 3? And it was still delayed even launching in December '06? A million punches in the face.

I can recall seeing no Madueria artwork outside of comics, so he must have been paid pretty nice for the stuff he did do. He did a good page for the Heroes 9/11 tribute and then did a three page Ryu/Sagat story in Street Fighter II #1 when everything was trying to be the next Transformers in 2003 I think.

I've got no idea about the top one, the middle one is a little sharky thing that I feel like I should know and the last guy on the bottom is also tantalisingly familiar.

    Any help?

I think the bottom one is a bad guy from MASK. Drove the motorcycle/submarine thing.

Wikipedia says the vehicle was Stiletto and the driver was "Sly Rax". Google Image Search confirms.

Damn it, I thought I'd be the first one to recognize a MASK villain.

The top one looks VERY familiar. I'd agree it almost has to be from one of Go Nagai's giant robot shows, and I want to say it looks like something out of UFO Robot Grendizer.

After doing Battlechasers Madureia actually went to work in video games for a while.

So guys, I know this is totally off topic, but you've got to help me out with something. I'm trying to identify some cartoon characters, and i KNOW the good people of Graphic Violence can help me out.

I've gotten the vast majority of them myself, but can anyone place these three?

The top dude is Atlas, from the 1980's Astroboy cartoon.

I remember watching that show when I was three or four.

That no one else could identify him makes me sad.

You shut up. MASK was awesome. I mean, I only remember the vehicles. And that the guy with the motorcycle/helicopter could make illusions (he was the best!). But all those gray and fuzzy memories have been stamped over with AWESOME! and if I can't trust my own mind, then....

    MASK WAS AWESOME

I'm also moving soon, and taking a huge hit to my finances.

I'm going to have to cut way back, and be pretty picky about what to subscribe to and what to keep on my pull list that I just signed up for for the sake of pull bonuses on blackest night.

Edit: I'm actually just going to keep my pull list for what I can't subscribe to. My LCS only requires pickup once a month, and I plan on being around once a month anyway. However, I'm most definitely dropping all superfluous books after the next story arc ends (for example, I'll probably drop Spider-Man after issue 601), and I won't be able to pick up anything new.

Are there any really classic arc's of New Warriors? I just re-read civil war and the Warren Ellis Thunderbolts and have recalled many fond memories of Speedball, but I don't know how much of that is nostalgia. Is any of the pre-civil war stuff good?
