I have, as per your instructions, open my sealed orders at our arrival. To say I found them surprising would a vast understatement, as I did indeed find their contents to be, shall we say, mystifying. I cannot help but find this nightly vote that was mentioned somewhat macabre. Needless to say I also found your description of several elements within the colony that were violently opposed to our purpose to be quite distressing. To be honest I am not entirely certain of your aim with these proclamations. I do not intend to follow your instructions closely, as apologetic as that makes me. I wish to make these claims known to the Royal Liaison as well.
