Well, Ive been doing NDA freelance work for like... two years. But now I have a full job at a game company, so its all NDA until its released.
Actually I've had the job for the last two months (and 6 months commission before that), I just havn't been very active on any forums, what with graduating school and all.

Actually, I guess I can post some of this stuff. I work for a company that makes casual facebook games (I know, they arnt -real- games, but the art is fun). This is stuff for a game called Mousehunt I did since Christmas. Basically just crazy themed-mice. (they're not my links, any theyre a bit big. ts)

Y'know, while I'm doing all this animating, I might as well improve myself as an artist. I've got a bit of a problem. Basically, while blocking out a human, I have NO idea how to draw knees or connect upper and lower legs. When a character is standing I can usually muff it out, but since I now HAVE to draw a crouch, I'm running into problems. The cylinder method doesn't seem to help because of how the leg deforms when the calf is pressed against the thigh.

@Delz: Just remember that most of the calf and thigh are squishy, and can mush into each other. Plus your guy has pants on, so I wouldn't get too wrapped up in specific anatomy, because you can wrap it all up.

Main problem is just the general pose. In a crouched firing position, the front leg should be at a right angle (the calf going straight down), and the back leg should be tucked under the bum.

not to bring up that phototexture flame war, but those two images posted, the LOTR one and the one that looked like a cliffside airport, were they for or against photo textures?

I still think they look a bit plasticy.

Am I alone with my observations?

No, but they were taken from specific points in the script. I think they'll be used as spash pages and for advertising. I spent maybe 4 or 5 hours on each.
Unfortunately, I'm not terribly happy with the actual artist they got to do the comic itself. They just hired me to design the robots and do these spot paintings,

First hour of a WIP doodle, I want to turn it into a finished piece, which, for me in Photoshop, is almost unheard of. Current problems I'm having with this piece are the overlay of the hand on the face, and the background. I know you're supposed to begin with the composition laid out as a whole, but I started this as a concept/experiment piece. Other problems I have with in general that show in this are skin tones and light direction/refraction.

Also, first post, long time lurker, hi all! Big fan, McGibs.
