Reading .rar files on a Mac

    I'd recommend The Unarchiver.

    EDIT: No idea how current that program is, actually...I'm still on a G4 PowerBook running...hell, I forget what. I don't use it much anymore. But when I did, that was my unarchiver of choice.

    Seconded on the Unarchiver. It's clearly still being updated, as it made Lifehacker's 2009 Mac Essentials or whatever they call it.

    Thirded on Unarchiver. Unrarx is fine, but Unarchiver does so much more. Also, I was under the impression that the three or so 7-zip specific programs only made archives, not extracted them. That appears to be what EZ-7z and 7zx seem to indicate at any rate.
