Amazing Spider-Man was so bad this week I'm considering dropping the title again. Just when I think, "Yeah, maybe this is going to be fun, maybe they are capturing that elusive Spider-Man-ishness....we get torture porn!"
Seriously...
Even with Spider-Man's healing ablilities, he is well and truly fucked by issue's end. And just what did Bullseye do to him? Outside of lasers to the mask, Bullseye seems to have flayed him and stabbed him. What else was causing Spider-Man's throat to fill with blood? I mean, Jesus, enough already.
I'm thinking my money would be better spent reading Marvel Adventures: Spider-Man and collecting the Ultimate trades.
There is definitely some Bullseye overload lately. I love the guy but he's in every book. And in every book that isn't Dark Avengers he fails miserably at whatever his task is.
Did anyone get Runaways? Is the book readable again?
Seriously man, get the USM trades. Every one. They all range from good to incredible. I originally planned on getting all the BND spidey stuff but after picking up the first USM ultimate collection I only read 616 Spider-man in New Avengers, plus whatever books he shows up in I also happen to read.

I posted about Runaways #11 on page 2 here I think, but after thinking about it I really didn't care for Immonen's first issue. I'll pick up the next issue just to give her another chance, but you can tell she only wants to write about Nico and Katalina really. For a quick TV reference the group was less "That 70's Show/Spaced" and more "Friends", where it tries to make itself cool but it really isn't because it's trying too hard.
If you didn't like Moore's run I suggest you read it and compare yourself. I liked Moore's run (the first issues weren't his fault since he was blindly filling in stuff on Runaways before Whedon finished his arc), and Immonen feels further away from Vaughn's work than Moore did.
Strain does a good job trying to keep the art comparable to what it was with Ramos and Miyazawa.

Seriously. USM is Spider-Man done right. Even the worst story arc is still good to great.

I can also vouch for this - I have been picking up trades for USM for the past few weeks and I'm already done with book 8 and looking forward to more, especially with the Sinister Six coming in book 9.

Yes yes - USM is the best Spidey. (MA Spidey is the second best.)
Yeah, I think Norman was a much better villain before he added
villainous impregnation
to his list of crimes.
Everything was better before that. And honestly, the most f-ed up thing is, I don't even know which
villainous impregnation
you're referring to!
There's so much wrong with that!

Odds of Norman actually being Peter's father in the next year of stories? 2-1? 4-1?

Ten bucks says MJ shows up at Aunt May's wedding either A) Pregnant with Norman's child, or With Norman's children in tow.

Or maybe Aunt May's new boyfriend will take off his mask and, BAM, it's Norman Osborne.
You'd think the storyline would have been done to death now, didn't he father Normie to secretly? Theres at least 3 in there now unless, hopefully, OMD has undone the one with Gwens kids.

It has not. You see one of them in the latest issue of ASM.

One coming out or not? I dont recall anything being pointed out about such a thing but then I've been glossing it lately.

The last issue. The male kid from Sin's Past was in a tank in Norman's... uh... well, it's a lab, but I guess it doubles as a torture chamber? Not sure what you'd call that.... a laborture chamber?

Because Sins Past is probably the stupidest (not worst but stupidest) story in the history of Spider-Man and the one I don't understand getting past any kind of non-lobotomised editor.
You'd think of all the things they could do to fix Spider-man, getting rid of
Norman having sex with Gwen and having kids with her
would be at the top of the goddamned list. Thanks, Joe Q. Thanks a lot.
It's the golden rule of comics man.
if you can't bring them back to life, you can at least fuck their corpse.

No clue. They've never mentioned and trying to put a time-line in a Spider-Man comic is a fools errand. She looked like she's ready to give birth though. I mean, I guess we know it's at least two months, simply because of Pete's trip to the Microverse.

Gwen's kids aged super fast, maybe the same thing is happening with Lily.
I have never personally read Sin's Past, but couldn't they have just done stupid shit where Norman clones the kids from Gwen's DNA just to be a dick to Peter? Instead of, you know, sex.

No, they showed Gwen getting it on with him, and it was in a letter in her handwriting explaining it to Peter.
Norman probably doctored the comic flash back and made her write the note because he knew 10 years from then he might need it to temporarily fuck with him.
The whole thing wasn't helped by Deadato drawing it so it looked like Gwen was fucking Tommy Lee Jones.
Meh... the whole arc wasn't helped by anything. The original concept had so much potential. The Goblin turning Pete's own children against him. But editorial fuckmuppetry made it... well, that.

The Clone Saga gave us Ben Reilly and the Scarlet Spider which looked cool.

OMD is the worst.
Clone Saga started off interestingly enough, but went all screwy. It also didn't help that Marvel was bankrupt at the time and they thoughtt he way to fix it was flood the market (that was around the time I left comics too, the last comic I remember reading back then was the conclusion to "Smoke & Mirrors").
The Other and Sins Past are just bad stories based on that "nothing will be the same" premise propping up events these days, and were pretty much ignored.
I liked Kaine from the Clone Saga, at least when he was true to what he'd been created as: Spider-Man with his powers amped up ten fold. Super spider sense let him see the future, super wall crawling let him pull down entire buildings, etc.
I've gotta say Sin's Past is the worst. I know people always claim so-and-so ruined Character X, but in this case, it was as close to true as you can get.
