My only gripe with the SP is that I am more of a grind it out (read: IG) player, and the game really attributed itself to just running in and blowing shit up as fast as possible on the move. Except for the bosses.
And yeah, I love co-op campaign. You get more attached to units that way.

When I was a kid I totally kept a cassette in the stereo so if my favorite song came on I could hit the record button really fast, but due to my slow organic body the song was always cut off a tiny bit at the front and went a tiny bit into the next song at the end

The campaign in co-op is superb. Single player content with more humans is always good fun.
