Because I'll be there, and I operate on EDT. Which means I wake up at 9am thinking it's noon.

yeah, it took about a week or so for the sellout last year, didn't it? People just put it off for like three weeks then suddenly wanted in or sumethin.

Okay, I have a question. I bought a total of 4 pax passes for my group that is going, but I bought it in two sets (the extra two people were added later). Will I need to do two separate byoc reg's for the two sets of tickets?

    Two weeks, as I recall.

It's -possible- it'll sell out inside of a week, but I'll be surprised.

Since I live in seattle, 10am PST. Im not waking up at 7am :P

    Zankabo:
Yes you will have to make 2 seperate accounts on the intel site, since you can only get a max of 2 byoc passes per account.

ehh.. mmm.. ugh.. errr... (sounds of internal agony and strife) I'm driving to San Francisco at 8AM this morning. What to do.... take my laptop and grab wifi when I hit the city maybe? Leave a couple hours later and hope it goes live sooner rather than later? Be a sane human being and just buy my spots when I get home later tonight?

Even though they probably won't sell out in a day, I will be constantly thinking about it until I have secured my seats. I'll be in the De Young looking at King Tut, but thinking of BYOC. How sad.

Also try not to do an E-check, because you cant pick your seat until it clears.

Stick with paypal credit card, paypal balance, or instant bank account transfer.

OK. All set now, it was a reasonably painless process, despite a wonky captcha and having to register on the site. About 40 seats gone when I registered, and I really like the choose-your-own seat ability you guys put up this year. Thank you! :)

I see on BYOC reg that when you select 2 seats it says:

"This ticket is for two PAX 2009 BYOC seats. Note that these seats will be registered to you ONLY! "

If I ordered my PAX pass with a qty of 2 (one for myself and the mrs) can I still use the 2 seat option? I think this just means that I would have to be present to redeem these 2 seats but want to confirm before I order.

    Thanks!

Correct, you will have to retrieve the BYOC passes since they are in your name but your mrs can use the other.

There, got all 4 seats ordered.. the reg service worked pretty good.. got me some aisle seats.. wooo

I need to get a folder to put all the paper for PAX I seem to be getting into.

Also, are we not sharing the space with the freeplay this year?

on the map on the seating chart, freeplay is in 6C. Same deal as last year, its in the same room but pipe/drape will be separating the areas.

The space got quite a bit bigger this year :P

Ahh, I did not look close enough.. and yes, I see how much larger it got.. but still nice and small as a place to get away from the huge crowd that is PAX.

Can we use an electric fence with pikes to put the heads of those who try to cross over onto? Maybe have flag flying over our kingdom and what not?

Or people like me who is responsible for making sure all the tickets get ordered for their group because most of us are way too good at putting things off.. for months.. or years..

Picking your own seat is nice. Of course when I called my partner in crime up to make sure he was registering I find out his internet is down. Way to go Verizon. I did snag a seat near ShyGuy though so I feel special.

I can't wait for PAX now.

Big Red/Disco, can you MAYBE give us a heads up as to what games/events we may need to install to participate in? I seem to remember last year there was a hiccup in that not enough people had the games to participate in the events...
