That's one of the reasons I haven't read Achewood or Dr. McNinja. I know they're great but I don't think I could find the time to catch up on the whole story.
its not really hard to keep up with it if you read it as it comes out.
Hell it aint even hard to read the archives.
Honestly it seems like you are making a mountain out of a molehill, here.
I mean that is like saying that watching a tv show is too hard because there are 6 whole days between new episodes (or more if you like lost, I guess)
Also, the two previous chapters are self-contained stories that give you all the information you need to follow along.

Except there are a number of webcomics with literally years of archives. I don't really have time to sit down and go 'Man I'm gonna go read me a whole year's worth of comics right now.' Though apparently Achewood and Dr. McNinja both have physical books which would make things easier.

Rice Boy is a very good comic that's a complete story and is over with now. I highly recommend it.

And, again, there are multiple McNinja chapters, which are labeled as such in the archives page, that are self-contained and are easy to jump into for new readers.
McNinja is probably the least-offensive of the story-driven comics, because it has the decency to provide chapters. This is also why Octopus Pie is great.
it would be great if S_O were some kind of superhero who updated MSPA as fast as I read it

I think my favorite part of Dr. McNinja is the way he steadily ramp up the ridiculousness as a story progresses. I mean, the concept and execution is batshit from the getgo, and then you read an awesome comic and you want to tell someone about it but realize
"He's trying to get past traps and snake-filled robots to get into a temple created by an ancient tennis-worshipping civilization to fix a guys ankle so that he can defeat a tennis machine that will otherwise destroy the world, and also there's a [strike]birdosaur[/strike] pterodactyl that keeps messing with him."
is going to make you sound crazy, and that's not even getting into the dolphins and the government agent, or his ex-girlfriend that's been hired to stop him, or his gorilla secretary or raptor-riding sidekick or-
Reading Achewood's archives is so much fun. Starts slow, but the characters are so great. Just read a few a day. Or, all of them in a single, sunless weekend.
well you should obviously be reading mcninja regularly anyway, beavs.
sheesh
Every single time I read McNinja, I say to myself "I should really be reading this regularly," but I have yet to for some reason.
I just read it when it's posted here
Yeah, it's one of the comics I keep picking through this thread to find. I don't even know the website (only because I haven't bothered to search for it in google, I'm lazy, not an idiot).

EDIT: Oh, ok, I thought I was missing something, I read it over like, 10 times
