It might have been an earlier version of the fan patch then? I distinctly remember getting the katana from him in one of my playthroughs years ago, but don't remember if I'd had any mods on at the time. Thought I'd just had the official patch, but maybe not.
Without the fan patch it might depend on which weapon he is using when you kill him. If he has the crossbow out he drops the crossbow, if he has the katana out he drops that.
With the fan patch he drops both everytime.

Huh. Guess you gotta do it the hard way, then. It's not much worse. IT just means you have to sneak out to see the Sarcophagus close up, instead. Also it might be more difficult to get back to the boat, but as long as you don't kill anybody you'll get full experience.

You know, this was definitely a great game, but reading through the features that VtM: Redemption had...I mean, multiplayer with storytelling tools would have been amazing.

I ended up saying fuck it and brought up the console and cloaked myself and ran there and checked it out myself.

Blaket you sissy, that mission is easy to ninja through until you run into the bug that allows dudes you do not have line of sight on you to see you even though you are stealthed and there is no lighting and, I reiterate, they do not have LOS.
Okay, yeah, actually fuck that mission pretty good.
I know I'm a bit late to the party, but the reason you lot are having trouble with the Elizabeth Dane cameras is because you don't access them from the command input line.
There's a monitor next to that computer which has security footage on it. Click E until it shows the part of the ship you want. Voila. No need to stealth past any cops except one. Who your "contact" distracts for you.
Hugely late, but as the G&T thread is drumming up interest for those that haven't played, just wanted to throw out that if you can't figure out how to select your fists you may not in fact be retarded; there's a bug with some of the unofficial patches where you start the game without fists. At all. Keys won't work either as you are missing your keyring.
The only fix is to start a new game. I ran into this myself, so just to save anyone running through it for the first time like I am the headache.

I've checked and as far as I can tell this is the right computer.
But the only options is to access the weather, I can't get the cameras or anything.
I've checked the guide and I am sure I am in the right room.
