The real question is why are you cuddling what appears to be a waste basket.
I believe it was given to me by Drew for the purposes of vomit. Also for the purpose of vomit seeping through the grates and getting all over everything anyway.
Thankfully I didn't vomit.
I think I thought it was a nice woman or two, because the dream I had that night, wowza.
Did you wake up in the morning to find there was a hole punched in the bottom of the basket?
Or at least a couple dents?
Nah. Even in my sex dreams I don't get laid anymore. It's a pretty big problem.
it's not that bad that she died because frankly she turns into kind of an annoying naggy bitch for most of the game
you could always reload, though, if she got permadead. If she's just grayed-out dead you can just finish the intro, and stop by a temple at your leisure to bring her back to life.

If you take the spell Stun (Mind rank 2), it seems to remove all damage resistance from your target. My highest backstab on record right now is about 120 (non-crit), at level 30. And that's with a Katana.... if I had a good lightweight axe I could probably push 150+
Yeah... when you're 2 shotting Temporal Crushers.... having something like 10 to 12 attacks per turn if you don't move... you can pound out a lot.
But, on that note, the combat was *never* the strong point of this game. It's shamefully thrown together. It shines in the dialog and story and the sheer depth of the content.
I'm tempted to try taking that whole Mind tree, I have no idea how effective the rank 5 Dominate spell is. But it seems like once you hit about level 20, you're very rarely facing solo enemies...plus I really want to possess a Seething Mass.
Oh so I installed some of the "upgrade" patches, scarlet so helpfully provided
and now when I start the game my screen is rotated 90 degrees
Whoops whadidido?
Not really, there are a ton of party members, but if you've already lost a party member in the starting dungeon, your shit is going to get wrecked later, so you might want to turn down the difficulty a bit.

Ummmmm
did you put in the wrong dimensions during the hi-res widescreen patch?
it is probably something like that

bullshit, those assholes died all the time on normal. it's just a matter of not running over traps every five damn seconds.
It'd be cooler if they took your quicksave away so you couldn't talk him by trial and error.
The best thing about this game is that all the information you need to do *anything* is crafted into the game. If you read all the literature on the Derian-Ka, the Melochian Hand, and on the Panarii, you have everything you need to talk your way through.
Of course, I'm pretty sure you need Master Persuasion, but it's not like in KOTOR where it has the little [Persuasion] bracket on the dialog option. You gotsta know your shit.
My thief is level 34 right now. In Caladon. Already robbed two houses and killed a few people. The night is young.

speaking of caladon:
Where's virgil after he leaves you? I can't find him anywhere.
Also if you tell someone to leave your party, do they go back to where you found them or are they gone forever?
Oh man, I'm doing a companion-free playthrough, and shit is occasionally hard. Just finished clearing out Black Mountain Mines.
When I got to the three dread wolves (or whatever they're called), it took me a few tries since if any of them got close to me, I would get slaughtered. I finally switched over to real-time and managed to pull them one at a time into the other room.
Next stop is Ashbury...I think I'll actually walk this one instead of teleporting so I can find a few of the locations between there and Tarant.
There are only two you are likely to find just by walking, and one of them is a little out of the way.
northish, just before the halfway point... 3 or 4 magic chests within. Asking around Tarant, Ashbury, and Stillwater will mark the place on your map.... eventually

i should have played this game so much sooner
i had no idea it was basically fallout with magic
I mean, I knew it was powerful, but that's pretty damn wowza!

nope!
You'll be wanting a scroll. The scroll you want is in a chest nearby.
