I'm going to need to see some scans of this beauty. All Google is returning is the cover.

I'll see what I can do tomorrow. It's...bad.
I wanted it soooooo bad. It was going to be the coolest GN ever. It never found it's way to me.

I thought it was pretty weird to see Punisher involved in Civil War at all.

On a related note, I'm ashamed to have worn a Skull-Logo Punisher t-shirt in high school, and without even being a Punisher fan at that.

Should I be sad to say that I still do on occasion wear my Punisher t-shirt.
Also Spawn got me into comics cause it was so hardcore, like Slipknot

I bought the Angel Punisher mini-series today. And while browsing back issues, I remembered I have the full run of Force Works. Does that go in the shame pile?

Yes. The art, so bad. And the cover to #1 was one of the worst gimmick ones at the time. Pop-up cover? Well, it didn't really pop up.

Oh god, this is like five pages of the bitching thread.

Out of curiosity, did they ever explain what was up with Annie's son? When they left there was something sinister in how he was acting, like he was possessed or something. Did they just drop that?

When I was young I thought that owning the first issue of a series would be a good buy... and so along with Spider-Man 2099 #1, Doom 2099 #1, and Punisher 2099 #1 I also bought... James Bond, Jr. #1.
I know they didn't all some out at once, but the same fever that caused me to buy one caused me to buy the rest.
Even as I type out this post I can hear the theme to the James Bond, Jr. animated series theme song.

I just looked up the James Bond Jr. theme on youtube and I swear I remember a certain line from it being "the spy who's just too cool, and he's still in school" yet I didn't hear it once in the opening. Must have been a commercial bump.

Anyway I'll add the 2005 Daredevil vs. Punisher miniseries to my secret shame list. Back then I actually liked it but man it does not hold up now. Daniel Way's Bullseye vs. Punisher is still great though.

James Bond Jr. was actually Bond's nephew, if I remember right.

And I'm sure M made all her 00's get vasectomies or something so this stuff wouldn't happen.

Can... Can I be ashamed of my mom?

Edit: The gimmick was that KISS bled into the ink, so each issue was like having KISS's blood.

There was only one, it was not a series. They came out with another in 1979 but it had nothing to do with it.

YOu are insane, I wish my mom had the Kiss comic. Actually the Kiss comic is an awesome vintage piece and it is very much prized. How cool is it that Kiss blood is in the ink!

I'm a grown ass man that enjoys reading those WB (or whatever) DC kids comics.

I also really, really liked 90's Spider-Man comics at the time. Mullets and all. In my defense though I hit high school at about the same time the Clone Saga stuff started so I thankfully missed out on all of that. I still have no idea why people think it was so bad - never read a panel.

There's actually a really really cool in depth account of exactly what the Clone Saga was all about and how it went so very wrong, it features a lot of insider commentary of editors and writers who worked on the Spider-Man books at the time. It's a really fascinating read.
