I designed these characters for a new iPhone game that is coming out this month. So I thought I'd pimp it here.

    ^This this!^ I think it's got a psychonauts/scarygirl feel to it which is super awesome.

    However, I don't think it should have much more detail, it'd be lost on the tinyness of the iphone. Overall very cool, I may have to pick this up on my phone!

    Loving the colors in the skin of the first two, though that girl is lookin' pretty flat in comparison. Not sure if she's finished yet, but she doesn't look it. Her flat hair and skin with only one shading layer (also minus that wicked purple layer on the first two) isn't cutting it for me.

    P.S. Check that man in the middle. He is sporting a candy-man purple pimp suit.

    you'd never see the detail, and it would just busy up anything that would be displayed at that size

    as is, they're simple, easily readable character designs that are easily distinguishable in size, shape and scale, with very nice silhouettes

    Character designs for a game coming out this month?

    I'm hoping that these are the final drafts for the game lol.

    As it is, they look very good.

    These designs are not for playable characters but for the animated character portraits. If you want to see more on the game you can find info at www.slashcasual.com

    Man, that girl's palette is still missing the purple everyone else has, and it still bothers me. The recycling looks totally fine all except her. She looks stamped right in there.

    There's also some weird tangents going on with the staff and the two figures in the back. They're a bit cramped.

    I'm liking the saturated colors, its not the typical dark black and white or super green, what some people may normally perceive as creepy, you know? Very nice.
