    Same, and for an animator it's absolutely vital, but I know quite a few people who wishes they had their own "voice" in a sense. My perspective teacher works a good job with great pay (for an animator), but he's in a bit of a rut because he feels he doesn't have his own style, and doesn't know how to get one.

    I'd probably be frustrated with that too.

    nothing emphasizes a lack of painting skills quite like trying to imitate an artist like wakka and knowing what takes me hours to fail at probably takes him minutes to succeed. :( Also, fuck that cat :x

    Thank you. I hope Cake likes it. It very much is a challenge to try your hand at realism... that may not look it but it's a good hour and a half's work. I haven't spent an hour and a half on pencils in years.

    You got sum purdy lighting going on in that thar painting, Bacon.
    This might be more of an observation with your painting process, but I've seen a lot of your tutorials and crits around here and I understand you block everything while painting in order to separate planes and get the lighting correct. However, I think sometimes this affects the final painting in an adverse way--in this one particularly, the tiger looks kinda uh... blocky? This is just something I've noticed in your paintings, which are always awesome, but usually suffer from this problem. (It's not always noticeable or bad, but it does show)
