I'm not sure I'm comfortable with financially rewarding people for creative efforts which I enjoy experiencing.
Maybe they could do, like, pavement art with it or something and when they come round with the donation cap I can just pretend like I've got to be somewhere really important in a hurry.

This is because you are clearly a kilt-wearing, whiskey-guzzling stereotype of a Scottsman. I would indeed pay money for an extended Automata story.

I'd buy an Automata graphic novel so hard it would make the bookstore clerk uncomfortable.
For whatever reason the comic sometimes goes down after it's posted. In this case, I'm guessing some plucky soul had the comic saved before this happened, so he linked that one as well so we'd all have something to view.
But now the official comic is back up, so he just looks stupid.
I just can't get over how elegant the robots meet 1920's noir idea is. Like Firefly with its space western setting, I can't help but think "why didn't someone do this sooner?".
That's not to say it hasn't been done before, because it probably has. This is just my first major encounter with it. I really hope this current arc becomes a launch pad for a new endeavor, and not just another CTS that they come back to once every blue moon.
I think it was good but I am going to wait until I have read the entire arc before making a mess in my pants, aka the opposite of what people did for Lookouts.

The Clickwise language is one of those things that is perfectly depicted in comic form and I'm not sure could be adequately translated into any other medium.

i was afraid Automata was going to turn into some Matrix-type story, but i am pleasantly surprised so far.

I don't mean to start anything, as I've never really weighed in on it before. Moving on, this is really great stuff.

if some of you feel compelled to start that debate again, take it to D&D where I'm sure you'll find people welcoming such a discussion

The actual comic link was dead but someone with quick skills snagged it and hosted it themselves, I believe.
Now it's back up so it's showing up again.

Also it was Kiko that created the visual design of Clickwise, not me.
Edit: Seriously awesome, Gabe.
Well in that case, many kudos to Kiko!
You didn't do too bad, either, I guess.
This is fantastic, Gabe.
I realize this is probably a ton of work for you guys, but I'd love to hear a podcast of the Automata production process.
and I said it about the first one, and I'll say it again: I'd love to see a larger version

They made a Max Payne movie? I don't even remember it, because I try to block out terrible ideas.
