And this is if they survive Carols super-vagina.

Wait, she'd give birth to her own grandchildren?

Or would her super-vagina damage them in ways I can't even comprehend?

    I just saw this.
    NEW WARRIORS #1
    Written by KEVIN GREVIOUX
    Penciled by PACO MEDINA
    Cover by NIC KLEIN
Someone is gift-wrapping super-villains for the police. Someone is defacing Superhuman Registration posters. Someone is raising eyebrows all around town -- from City Hall to Tony Stark’s war chamber. And the only clue to their identity? Two spray-painted letters: N.W. Who are these mysterious young upstarts that have dared to fight the powers-that-be? And what do they want from a de-powered mutant named Sofia? Are the New Warriors truly back from the dead? Or has something new risen from the ashes of Stamford?

I think that means I'm gonna have to buy New Warriors.

The art really bugs me in the Punisher image. I'm really not sure what it is.

    Because it's beefy and static?

The two of them look like they were drawn separately, then overlapped. I think my least favorite thing about the cover is the similarities in costume design. I mean, is there an internationally themed costume shop that only sells one design for huge, overly-beefy dudes? It makes me wonder if Frank can handle a costume faux pas since he's not a cape. Maybe it'll just make him murder more.

I think the similar design is due to the the fact that they are supposed to be the same costume - Frank's new look is based on Cap's, while Captain Nazi is also based on Cap - the storyline is that white supremacists are going around dressed as white Captain Americas and beating the hell out of mexicans.

Hmm. I think this Captain Punisher may be worth picking up. Maybe it'll turn out being really good.

I think that if they are going in the direction I think they are with Capt.Punisher that it will be a decent story. Of course that is rarely the case, they never go the way I think they will/should and Punisher is rarely written well (though there are a number of worthy efforts).

I don't hate him by any means, but I feel it's mindboggling that he's paid significant amounts of money to churn out complete tripe. His women are impossibly proportioned with the same vacant, creepy eyes, his men all have the same big square jaw, ludicrous cheekbones, and basic body type, and his composition sucks. The thing is, I don't even hate his sequential work. I mean, I can look past his stylistic failings as long as he can tell a story competently, and he can do that. But now that he pretty much solely does covers, the poor quality of his work is much more evident.

Read this to see a criticism of one of his covers versus another by Adam Hughes. His work comes off looking amateurish and half-assed in comparison. Think about this; Michael Turner was payed several hundred dollars to do that cover. I cannot honestly believe that the linework it could have taken him more than an hour. There are people over in the Artist's Corner that could have turned out a better cover than that, and likely for a fraction of the price.

I don't know nearly enough about composition to make any significant criticism about any given art style or whatnot, but the guy made a point that Turner's use of tits are quite tacky...however I can't but help but find those same sentiments with shit David Finch does. Can the man draw more than one facial type?

I dislike him because, as Munch mentioned, he draws everyone to look the same.

Now, I love Frank Cho, but I have the same criticism of Cho's women. They are all Brandy. He's trying to tone it down with Natasha and Jan, but he's not doing that great a job. However, despite the fact that every single woman Cho draws looks like Brandy (and, by extension, Betty Page, Dejah Thoris, and nearly every woman Frazetta ever drew), the rest of his work is top-notch. It's hard to criticize any other aspect of what he does except his women.

However, I have a serious dislike for every aspect of Turner's art, for all the reasons Munch mentioned. While I'm willing to forgive Cho for drawing all women the same, I'm not willing to extend the same courtesy to Turner, because Turner fails to redeem himself in other areas.

    IMMORTAL IRON FIST #7
Written by ED BRUBAKER & MATT FRACTION
Pencils and Cover by TRAVEL FOREMAN
Her name was Wu Ao-Shi, and she was known as the Pirate Queen of Pinghai Bay...and that all came after she left K'un-Lun and took the power of the Iron Fist with her. Kicking her way out of the pages of THE IMMORTAL IRON FIST #2, this stand-alone issue tells the story of Wu Ao-Shi, from the moment she became the first woman to touch the heart of Shou-Lao the Undying, to her mysterious, controversial and epic ending. At long last, America: someone has combined pirates, kicking, girls, and Iron Fist into a single comic book. You're welcome.

Speaking of crappy artists, the most annoying part about Greg Land is that certain scenes do not translate well to porn-sketching.

Like if Sue Storm is pissed off that her boyfriend just got whisked away? Go on Greg. Go find a porno with a woman pissed off that her boyfriend was dragged to another dimension. What's that? Can't find one?

Then try to find one of a woman giving someone a blowjob and draw in teeth over where the cock would go.
