Alright, although this is very inconsiderate on my part the new nightly end time will be 22:00 GMT, not 23:00 GMT as originally stated.
This is because my oh-so-considerate employers decided to give me the goddamned morning shift this week, and that one little hour could make the difference between getting through the door on time and staggering in later.
Still taking reserves, incidentally.
EDIT: Oh, and assuming vast swathes of the playerbase don't have to back out or anything, Day 1 will begin tonight.

So what is that in EST-speak. Remember, most of us on here are under the illusion that there is only 1 time zone :P

Oh god, I missed the sensible GMT vote close game.

Us eastern Canadimericans really think we're the center of the world, don't we? You should at least know from forum registrations that EST is GMT-5. So, 17:00 EST, or 5 PM in non-military.
American daylight savings times differences from the rest of the world can sometimes make that 1 hour off in ways I'm not sure of. So somewhere between 4-6 PM.
All I'm seeing are people complaining about vote close being at an awkward time of the day. And all I want to say in response is "HAHAHAHAHAH SHARE MY PAIN AND SUFFER*"

It's a good place to point out that if anyone needs to withdraw because of the voteclose, you can do so now! (And maybe I'll get to play!)
[tiny]Remember to read the entire OP, including Vote Close time in future! This happened with one of mine, ending up with a game plagued with inactivity.[/tiny]

well, if the game starts today after like 10am and still ends today, i'm probably gonna be inactive as I have a 2pm flight that I have to get ready for and won't be landing until late.

No I think the idea is for Day 1 to start today and end tomorrow.
Tiny text is freakin' annoying. Is it really necessary?
Yeah I have no idea what the original coders were thinking...
"hey guys! let's include....tiny text...that you can only read if you quote the person"
*facepalm*
or with a copy paste into the address bar....
Or into the reply box at the bottom. Or into notepad. Or into an IM to a friend and then accidentally hit enter so they get a bunch of stuff they don't understand and you go a lot.

I'm on a laptop, my mouse is out of batteries.... so I don't really have that option .
That being said, next person to use tiny gets my vote. Until I forget about this promise and move on the the latest person to catch my attention, but for a short time at least you can be noticed (in a bad way)!

Speaking of, good lord how have I left my signature and avatar unsynched for so long? It's all better now.
