The Gary Busey stuff just felt kind of flat and not really funny. I think the official longer trailers (without him) really did a great job.

Also, I added all the pics in the thread to the OP. If anyone takes some screenshots or vids for the Game On, post them and I'll add them as well.

    Uh.

I was a little concerned about performance problems after all I'd heard, but I'm having the opposite problem; the game runs so quickly, Yakety Sax should be playing in the background. Everything's in fast forward. It looks a little funny just running around, but trying to drive a car is quite challenging.

Edit: Some cursory googling pinpoints this as a Windows 7 problem. Oh well, 5 bucks.

Maybe a dumb question, but do you have to play a shitload of single player or something to unlock all the cool stuff you guys are doing in MP? Or is it, spend $5 at D2D, download via Steam, and let the mayhem begin?

Clothes are pretty cheap, you can have a character that looks how you want within an hour of leaving the prison area (I'd say sooner, an hour is the outside estimate).

If you don't care as much about clothes and shit, you can be doing crazy MP stuff right away since many missions will simply give you whatever weapons you need.

I use KBAM. Its not too bad. Pretty good while actually playing actually, but the menus are a nightmare. No mouse support in the menus. Up and Down are w and s in the menus (like movement) but left and right in most menus to get to other selections? Well, that's left shift and left ctrl. And in gun shops you also use the directional keys. It is stupid as hell.

My steam id is "schmads", so feel free to invite me, though I'm not sure that I'll be able to run it yet. I'm glad to hear that this is worth the $5. I almost feel bad for picking up this, Bioshock, Riddick and Call of Juarez for $20. I mean, wow. Digital distribution is finally passing on some of those savings I've been hoping for since Steam launched!

Man, what kind of computers from the future are you guys using? Those screenshots look really good.

I have Windows XP, AMD64x2, GeForce 8600, 2 GB RAM, and I had to turn everything to medium to make it almost playable while I'm on foot, but the stuttering when I'm driving is driving me insane. It seems to pause literally every other second. I defragmented my hard drive, and that helped a tiny bit, but it's still terribly unplayable while driving.

The game is amazingly fun and irreverent when I can get it to play. The FUZZ diversion was pretty hilarious, I actually laughed out loud at the blurring.

The underground mall is pretty hard to find, so I figured this handy map might help.

    sr2mallllocation.png
    sr2pc2009091713363627.png

It's located on the north island almost directly south of the plastic surgeon where the X is marked on the map (not the player cursor.) Look for the 24 hour parking sign and mall entrance sign right below it to get into the parking garage. Take the ramps all the way down and there you'll find all sorts of mall goodness including three unique clothing stores, ATVs, sports cars, goth girls, etc.

So I took Xtarath for a fun ride. We did the Airport Drug mission up to level 6 (impossible to do alone) and unlocked the best shotty in the game plus infinite shotty ammo.

We also went to the mall and did all kinds of stupid fun things and bought the most preposterous clothes.
