Didn't see a general thread for this topic, so I thought I'd open this one up. I'm just personally amazed how someone twenty years took a couple of toylines from Japan, gave them a different back-story and managed to set off a multimedia experiance that still goes on today. Toys, comics, cartoons and movies; it just never seems to lose any steam in the long run. Everyone seems to have a favorite SOMETHING when it comes to TFs; toy, story, cartoon, or argument (such as Megatron Vs Galvatron or Unicron Vs Death Star). And face it. No matter how bad the upcoming movie looks to the hardcore fans, there's gonna be a little kid bugging his dad to get him a toy of the robot he liked before the credits roll.

I loved the hell out of that game. It's one of the few games where I actually went back to collect all of the stuff.

Grimlock (and other dinobots) transform from a robot to a FUCKING DINOSAUR to fight. So the correct question is, "What use is his robot form?" I would just be a Dino all the time!

Had Soundwave as a kid. Man, he kicked ass so hard. Kinda disappointed though that I got Buzzsaw with him instead of Lazerbeak. I was like "Who the hell is this guy? He's not the right bird!".
Shockwave wasn't exactly in my Top-10 TF list though I loved how he was portrayed in the Dreamwave comics though, trying to kick Megatron out of office as it were since he thought he had the brains and the logic to run things better.

I can't find that Toys R Us re-issue of Soundwave fucking anywhere
If memory serves me right, the Dinobots did exactly that during the Rodimus Prime era. Even in the episode where Grimlock becomes super intelligent and creates those new combining Autobots whose group name I can't remember, he still never uses his robot mode. Which strikes me as odd, since a T-Rex's tiny arms seem a hindrance to doing cool stuff with super inteligence, such as programing and building robots.

My only complaint is that the story seemed really rushed and I would have liked to see more, plus there was absolutely no Megatron OR Optimus to be seen. I can get some scans for you when I get back from work today if I have time.
