Pro-tip: never-ever tell you parents anything about your love life. No matter how much you trust them and love them, your parents will always annoy the living fuck out of you over it.

I was born with that knowledge. My parents only found out about French Girl because lying to them about why I was making so man trips to Paris would have started to get awkward.

I've just realised that Spotify would be totally perfect for providing in the music in a coffee shop / bar. You'd just need to pay for no-Ads (which is 99p a day, so I imagine there are some month/year cheap packages). And then you could merrily build playlists or even have user submission.

    Yeah, that would be awkward.

I think this is one of the bigger annoyances of living with your parents. Pretty hard to keep secrets.

10pm on channel 5. Which is a pain in the ringpiece as the reception we get here for 5 is atrocious.

    Damn, I am bored.

So, somewhere around a week or two ago, I checked in with the store I was hoping would hire me, and they said they wouldn't know if they'd have the room for another employee for three or four weeks. Would it be annoying/deal-breaking to head on down there and check with them about the situation?

My 100GB backup run ran out of space on the fileserver.

Irritatingly, It copied all the directories that just had a couple of big files in them completely, and partially copied the folders with hundreds of files and multiple layers of directory, so I can't just shuffle stuff around, I'll have to run it again.

    Right!

Because I saw a "commander wiggin" banned in the "Repub. or Democrat" thread, which of course led me to assume that if Wiggin had made an alt he had to have get banned first. 's why I was wondering.

Yeah but rsync will skip what was already done. Diff transfers etc.

I still have to move a significant amount of stuff from one drive to another to make space, which is what's going to take the time. Basically I'm moving the largest couple of directories to another drive on the server, then I'll move those directories (on the source machine) to another directory temporarily, delete the big stuff from the drive I pointed rsync at initially, and re-sync.
