Cause there was some posts asking for this and to give Whippy a break, I thought I'd open this up here so we can chat about Power Rangers and their Sentai counterparts in Japan. This show's another example on how the right amount of tweaking and reimaging on a property can make kids, adults and the people who own these shows happy for years beyond it's estimated shelf-life. Oh, and Kantankeris? This picture you put up in the Turtles-thread?

Looks like they liked the idea a lot. They went ahead and did it in Japan and later here in the S.P.D. series with the S.W.A.T. Megazord. :)

    I'm pretty sure he was Vash- I remember hearing his voice in a game my friend was playing (Tales Of Something Or Other) and looking it up on IMDB.

    I remember when the white ranger turned out to be Tommy and I was like SWEET!

    And then the gold ranger turned out to be Jason and I was like SWEET!

    Seeing a kinda normal looking teacher kungfu fighting a normal looking principle was fucking GLORIOUS.

    I think the green ranger arc was probably my favorite storyline in the series. But I also didn't watch it that often.

    The only thing that sucked about Tommy's involvment in Dino Thunder is when his actor disappeared in the middle of the season and they had to write in that Tommy was 'stuck' in Ranger mode and couldn't power down. Otherwise, it was pretty good. That Dino Thunder series was great overall. I loved it how for one episode, they had the three main Rangers watch an episode of the Sentai series it was based on, Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger.
