A population balance in favor of the republic won't be as bad in this game (from a lore POV) as it was in Galaxies.

I may not be the first in making this observation, but the starting planets could be clue to what classes are yet to be announced, considering that apparently the smuggler and trooper start on the same planet. That is to say:

    Republic:
Smuggler and Trooper, starting on whats-it-called
Jedi Guardian and Jedi Consular, starting on that Jedi planet

    Empire:
Bounty Hunter and Imperial Agent, starting on Hutta
Sith Warrior and Sith Caster, starting on Korriban

I hope I am wrong, of course, since it would be quite lazy of them to only include four starting planets and four non-force using classes.

It's wouldn't simply be lazy, it wouldn't make any sense.

I'm more familiar with the movies, but are there any "casters" in Star Wars? The movies make no such distinction. There's never anyone standing in the back spamming Force spells and trying to conserve mana. Even the most powerful Force-users depend on their lightsabers in the movies. I'm also not sure if there are enough Force abilities to base a whole class around unless you start digging up silly things from the EU.

The KOTOR games managed Force-spellcasters well enough, but I agree that one Force-using class per side is plenty.

Gotta remember that in the last 3 movies theres exactly 5 force users total, 2 of which dont really do much. In the prequels, they focused on the guardians since they had whooshwooshlightsabers that do awesome selling toys.

If "from time to time" means every fight in the prequels, then sure.

I can't imagine that the Sith Warrior heavy armor guy will be the only force-using Sith, though I certainly agree that 1 Force User per side would be plenty. I have a feeling there will be an Emperor-themed force power class as well.

I hope I'm wrong, and I hope that if I'm right there's still only 1 Force-using Republic class. It seems to me it would be "Sith-like" to have a greater percentage of Force adepts than the Republic, considering in KOTOR 1 it seemed like there were way more Sith ex-Jedi than there were Jedi.
