So tomorrow I am thinking of stopping by a Bestbuy and grabbing a computer game (I like having the box ) I am thinking of spending around 20 dollars or so, grabbing a game that came out last year or years past.
So far I am looking at Mass Effect, Titan's Quest, Assassin's Creed or FEAR.
Though I am slowly getting tempted to get Empire: Total War.
FEAR 2 is apparently 50% off (25 Ameribucks) this weekend on Steam.
Hmmm man... I might have to grab that then too. :P
Just sign up for the newsletters from Steam, GamersGate, Direct2Drive, Impulse and Goold Old Games. All of them now have a weekend sale every weekend. With a little patience you can never pay full price for a game again.
Well Im going to get Mass effect for now since its the same price but yeah, when I finish that I will just get those off of D2D, i should check that place out more then steam.
It is a thing of beauty.
But seriously, Assassin's Creed and Titan Quest are both $5 on D2D.
For now I am going to get Mass Effect but when I get time I will grab those off of D2D.
Also I swear I typed something in my post but I guess it didnt go through when I clicked reply. :P

If it's the upgrade then it depends on how anal the installer is about asking for the product key of the older version of Windows. I've never upgraded before so I don't know.

Could you upgrade the beta to the real thing? Imma miss my windows 7.

And I just checked the main page, like at the MS site
It's got the same deal attached to the full retail page
So I need to call the number in the morning and ask what's up with that
I think i'm going to teach myself C++ this weekend.
Anyway Fringe is going to be on. So I must watch it.
you might want to give yourself a smidge more time
Just basics.
is two days enough for a basic understanding if i've dabbled in other forms of languages many years ago.
C++ is an ungodly behemoth
do you have any experience with C or an object oriented language?
when I was like. 15.
so no.
To say basics I really just mean to get a casual understanding of it. I don't expect to be able to whip anything together but I would like to be have an idea of what i'm looking at.
Better question. What would be a good milestone to set for oneself given a weekend with C++?

Learn the C subset. You'll be hard pressed to get a basic sense of that in a weekend, let alone all the other stuff
I'm disappointed that the school deactivated my e-mail account.
I have to run through an exit interview for my federal loans too. Pain in the ass.
Exit interviews? Lord you people know how to have huge bureaucracies
They're really not "interviews", they're just called that. They're more like forms you complete over the Internet.
Huh
Even that, though. When I graduated, the fact that I didn't send in a confirmation of enrolment at the start of the following semester was their signal to put my loans into remission. You didn't have to actively fill out additional paperwork
Man, I was under the impression that Sgt. Pepper was supposed to be the Beatles album but...
I mean don't get me wrong the album starts off strong but the middle is rather dreadful. It does pick up near the end again but doesn't get to the same level as the beginning.

Can't win 7 upgrade upgrade off an installation of itself? Vista could
You can I think, but I don't know how the upgrade process works. Presumably they would at some point ask for the product key of your existing installation in order to confirm you're upgrading from a retail copy of Windows.

No, it shouldn't let you do that.
The RC lasts until June of next year.

Have they actually started answering any of their questions yet?

Yes actually. The season opening was pretty wonderful. I highly recommend it. The show is really coming into a good stride.

But I still have to sit through season 1 to get to that stride?

If it disappoints me again I'm going to mail you my tears. :P

I've got until March 1 to buy the real deal it looks like
After that it shuts down every two hours
That's good at least, means I can wait more than a month and buy this
