As I mentioned in the doodle thread, I'm working on a sculpture based on one of my Great Old Ones design from last year. Its not done yet, but I'll be posting progression shots until it is, which will hopefully be soon. I'm also reposting what I put in the doodle thread.

Aaaand the phallic-like sculpture thus far...
I made a crack to my roommate, on the latter shots, about how its becoming "ribbed for her pleasure" and he walked away. Sometimes I wonder if I've gone too far.
what kind of clay is that? I always see it online, but never seen anyone around my school use it.
Also, what do you use to build your armature?
Looks like Super Sculpey with an aluminum wire plus ProPoxy armature. Did you get your armature technique from the guy (the one who made the dragon from Dragonheart) on the ConceptArt forums? I did something similar last month and it worked great (mine was a giant squid, so the sturdiness-factor really payed off).

Thanks for all the positive feedback thus far, guys. I'm glad to see people so enthusiastic about my phallus.

Bebob hit the nail on the head. I'll link the two best sculpting tutorials I have for anyone interested.
Pretty much anything you'd need to know is in those two tutorials. I didn't have access to a camera when I was in the early stages of the sculpture, so I don't have any pics of the armature, but I can do a quick sketch later today of what it looks like.
You can get most of the materials at http://www.dickblick.com
But for any type of liquid epoxy or epoxy putty your best bet is to hit up a hardware store.

Everytime I go to conceptart.org it just makes me wanna lock myself in the house and practice until I can get as good as those guys. Insane shit over there.

It looks like something that would slither up out of my toilet and frighten me, but then I'd want keep it as a pet and let it rub up against people who were near me to gross them out, and pretend it was an accident...
These ideas make me uncomfortable.
Great job with the sculpture, looking forward to seeing it finished!

Be sure to keep us posted!
I'm just wondering what you named the little... it.
May I suggest Pedro DeLong?

Fucking yes.
Great work so far!
I can't wait to see the final version, and your progress so far is awesome!
You should have left the early one alone and just made a new one. It's coming along great, by the way.
And yes, those early ones DO look very much like a penis.
