I just convinced my yank friend to come to a death metal gig next month. I don't think he knows what he's getting into.

Just make sure he doesn't expect to walk out with the same number of teeth as he had going in.

It is very easy to avoid pits at gigs. I've been to.... numerous gigs and have only once been involved in a pit.

And anyway, they're not nearly as violent as they seem. Noone ever throws punches or elbows in a pit because that is a dick move. If someone goes down, you help them up. That's how it works.

One Rancid show, some guy tried to body slam me and I avoided it. I memorized him and then he felt my elbows in his kidneys. I don't freaking take crap in pits. Though I try to avoid the really violent ones now.

I've been at local punk shows with people I know and we spend half the show trying to hurt each other

I've gone for the body slam during a circle and missed and fucked my arm up something fierce on the landing

Most violent pit I ever saw was pure girls. Some girl got her nose broken in it. I know, I had to help get her back to the medics behind the crowd. Lots of blood.

    I didn't say hardcore

    I just said punk shows

Now I have seen people doing that faggy hardcore dancing shit at shows. One was a goddamn Bouncing Souls show, I think it was during Four Year Strong's set

Someone punched one of those guys in the nuts

    It was great

I always thought asking if someone needed help when they were in distress was a good thing. I mean if I probably would act confused at first but that is because people doing that is so rare.

The trick is to read the headline, smile at how it's kind of funny, and then ignore the rest because it is an explanation of the joke apparently intended for the terminally stupid.

I have been to vicious punk shows and not so vicious ones. Depends on the band, but 90% of the time everyone in the pit acts civilly for as the pit goes.

Saw one asshole almost get into a fight with the guy playing bass at the time for V.A.S.T. The bass player would of kicked his ass. That is why I love going to that place for concerts, you are right at the stage which makes for awesome shows.

When I went to see Gojira, I was able to fist bump the lead guitarist during like 3 of their songs

    he was awesome

I caught his pick, and afterwards he gave me an autograph, a drumstick and posed for a pic. If I had the cash, I woulda got him a drink for being so fuckawesome.

Is it wrong, like morally, to dispose of the corpse of a person when said person really won't be missed by anyone and it would be convenient to you if they did just vanish without a trace

It does show a lack of respect towards that person.

The thing is they're dead so it's not like it matters to them

and it's not as if anyone else is likely to find out so I guess it doesn't matter to anyone else then

And I'm fine with it, so ok go then?
