her boobs do look pretty small bu it might be the looseness of the shirt tunic thing
either way i think it is sad that she is the only one there is and isn't an easily recognizable character
my new mission in life is to popularize a flat-chested superheroine
likelihood of success: -135%
And of course, even if she didn't start out hot, someone would come along and draw the book a bit differently and make her slightly cuter. Then people would decide they liked the character and continually draw her hotter and hotter until she was just as hot as all the others. THe only way characters stay ugly is if their ugliness is part of their character.

see what is sort of funny in a probably unintentional way is that you decided big boobs = hot and flat-chested = ugly

In Ultimate Fantastic Four, Bryan Hitch's designs for Sue Storm was that she was supposed to have a smaller bust than other heroines, and that lasted with Kubert and Immonen all the way until Greg Land took over the art (lol Land)

Well, I guess I did kinda think that while I was writing the post, but how is it any different to say that the character is super hot but still a bit flat chested. Once she's already super hot, you may as well make her hotter in the eyes of a teenage boy by giving her a mighty rack, it doesn't change the story. An unattractive superheroine would be the real difficulty to draw.
I suppose you could have Powergirl and Hot-But-Flat-Chested Heroine form a supergroup and HBFCH continually be irritated that people comment on how she hasn't got big boobs, while Powergirl goes on about the opposite. Of course the other problem is that heroines are often kinda buff, and you need to reassure people they aren't looking at guys by giving them long hair and big breasts.

If sales go up when women take off their clothes in comic books, I wonder if sales go down when male characters bare more skin. I'd bet sales would suffer if Batman ran around Gotham in nothing but a cape and a banana hammock which is weird considering his current costume, like plenty of other super heroes', is already skin tight.

Didn't people react strongly when Power Boy had a chest window. I think I remember some people being like "ew chest hair"
The heirs of Jack Kirby, co-creator of Captain America, The Fantastic Four, The X-Men, The Avengers, Iron Man, Hulk, The Silver Surfer and Thor and have sent notices terminating copyright to publishers Marvel and Disney, as well as film studios that have made movies and TV shows based on characters he created or co-created, including Sony, Universal, 20th Century Fox and Paramount Pictures.
...
Such claims, if found valid, would begin from 2014 and, as always, its worth noting that Marvel/Disney will still own the trademarks of the characters in comics, and the studios in movies. The likelihood is that, if successful, Kirby heirs would enter into negotiation with Marvel over terms to continue publishing comics based on his work.
I don't know if anything will come of it. I don't really understand what happened with the Jerry Siegel estate /Superman/boy stuff. The same lawyers are working for the Kirby estate though.
If I'm remembering what I've read correctly, the Kirby Estate doesn't have anywhere near as much as a case as the Siegel Estate did.

Yeah, it was brought up before boob talk about Valeria and then Roman Polanski got arrested, weiiiiiird. The new thing with it though is that the Kirby estate is trying to lay claim to Spider-Man as well, because Kirby did concepts or something for the character before Lee and Ditko drew it for Amazing Fantasy.
Everyone loves boobs. But I have no idea how boobs relate to the discussion concering the Disney/Marvel deal. If we could get a Pixar Marvel movie, and have it looking as good as UP!, I would be overjoyed. Especially if it was an Inhumans movie.

I mean, I'm sure at one time or another female heroines have been depicted of having your requirements, but then some cheesecake artist came along and
big boobs and spandex
although hero cut off one of her boobs so there's that i guess
Ms. Marvel
put on some goddamn clothes
she must pay a fortune in chiropractor bills
insurance all "sorry power girl but we don't cover spine alignment, those boobs are a preexisting condition"
Though, I think this was a better look for Sue.
Quoth, you are a woman of science. Perform these studies.

The Japanese do this a lot in their anime. The unlikely pairing is a joke that must never get old over there.

although i suspect that really it's just a matter of tradition at this point
superheroine = big boobs and tiny waist

It probably should go into a different thread though.
Or a general super hero costumes thread, or something
manhunter, though, is pretty reasonably proportioned from what i've read of her (the first 3 trades)
edit- faynor you cannot make a thread dedicated only to boobs and the discussion thereof.

dang servo take a joke I ain't gonna make no boob thread
