    As for the next update, I'm a little unsure of my college's uploading policy so they may become a bit more rare on my end. Hopefully I can keep a weekly update though.

    There's a mod called synergy that lets you play through HL2's singleplayer in co-op mode.

    You should totally do that.

    @Anti: I'm using Corel VideoStudio 12- comes with a nice 30day trial i believe.

    @Arkan: Well, I don't think our styles of LP would mesh all that well. That's a job for two other lucky LP'ers I think.

    This inspired me to play through Ep 1&2 again and man do I appreciate them so much more second time through. That's how you do DLC (<3 Valve).

    I really connected with the characters this time round, I was amazed by just how sincere Alyx's voice acting was in places, especially...
    ...the scenes following the vort healing and recovery from the hunter attack after the antlion caves in Ep 2.

    I played it more like an FPS/RPG. I actually went through the whole episodes again in the same day to hear the excellent commentaries, well worth listening to.

    You always have this idealised version of how you speak in your head, then you hear yourself speak in a recording.

    EDIT: For examples of a yorkshire accent see Patrick Stewart (although its much reduced in his tv/film work, he tones it down a lot), Jeremy Clarkson, Sean Bean in his tv work lets full rip with his yorkshire accent although his film work is usually posh English bloke accent, Ben Kingsley occasionally does something with his original accent.

    Surprisingly I just found out Dame Judi Dench is from yorkshire, which surprised the fuck out of me since she always speaks in her posh accent. And she's from York no less.

    Yeah, I hate hearing myself or seeing myself in video. I know I'm an awkward dork but it's another thing to hear and see it for myself.

    I forgot to talk about a lot of things I was planning to, I should plan these out more.

    Anyways, next update will be on headcrab shells, their use, early concepts for them, and how they are produced. If that doesn't fill the time, the Manhack Arcade and early concepts for City 17 and the Citadel will be talked about.

    2015. Realistically, 2020.

    Give or take a year.

    I'm really surprised L4D2 hasn't been delayed. It will be a first for Valve to get a game out without at least a years delay.

    @Rak: Thanks for the comments! I'm playing on normal actually.... I thought about playing on expert but doing commentary while playing is harder than it sounds. Considering I actually died a couple times already, I think it was the right decision :lol:

    Episode 3 better come out before too long- I'd love to do a continuous lp of the hl2 games...

    @Jar: awesome set- In 10 min you showed off about 3 things I had no idea even existed and I've played this game through at least 5 times. Good stuff.

    I just wrapped up my first play through the game on my 360.

    I bought the game when it was released and tried about three or four times to make finish it but always quit around Ravenholm or the mines. the last half of the game is such an amazing payoff.

    Did anyone else find the parts before you get the
    buggy
    (is that even a spoiler?) a little too drawn out? It felt like a training ground for the rest of the game. Like a tutorial that went on too long.

    But now that I've finally finished it, I can't believe it took me this long to play such an amazing game. I'm already looking forward to playing through it again to find all of the secrets and G-man sightings.

    The game is a slow build no doubt, but I don't think that makes the early parts boring. That said, I'm probably a bit bias because I love this game so much.

    Also, no one mention the ending to ep2 or I will cut you.

    I played HL2 in Synergy with a couple people, only got as far as Nova Prospekt though, I think. Might have to do that again some time.

    Great vids. I'm tempted to play again, but I think I'm going to wait until after Black Mesa Source is released.

    edit: I've re-watched each ep and There are a couple of moments where the pt change is awkward (mid battle) so I'm going to spend my time working on a viddler update for this set, one so that you can just press play and when the video stops, it won't be in a strange place, mid conversation or mid action. My apologies but... that's what happens when you edit video at 3am.
